Got it for Christmas finally....mmmhhh it let me down a bit. I mean: the longer and more sonic tracks are awesome, but the other three tracks are kind of Motorhead stoner that hundreds of other bands do better. I mean, it's fine that it's a best of, but they could have done better. ola

WELL, IN THE END, TAKEN BY COMPULSIVE CONSUMPTION, I BOUGHT IT FOR CHRISTMAS.... it has its originality, but compared to what people were saying and writing everywhere, it’s not that “ahead”.... however, if you smoke a joint, they are nice. but the black voice doesn’t really add much pathos to everything, rather it gets tiresome after a while. anyway, interesting.

the best of calexico and one of my absolute favorite albums. but I'm sorry to tell you that the rec was already there. vary people vary. the album is more Mexican than American for me anyway we're there since the city of calexico is on the border.

Good job, Maggot Brain is a blast, I’d like to get the others when I can. Back to the Blitz, I have to say I don’t feel the first one much; I like the groove enough, but sometimes I think, "Damn, if instead of those acoustic sounds in the background you had put some nice distortions, the effect would have been better." I don't know, maybe it’s just me, but let’s say I’m consistent with my nickname.

And I add: never compliment (true or false) the males, we are way more vain than the ladies. @sfascia: I enjoy it in every mental state, but let’s say the first two tracks will take you to the creator if you’re a bit light-headed. I got the aforementioned EP at the concert in Bologna with Dead Meadow. Both bands are superb, the Meadows are more atmospheric but also more monotonous; that’s their strength. The Mountains are more engaging, the non-electronic version of No Hits is a real hair-puller. Side note: at the concert, there was Sonic Boom from Spacemen 3 (invited by the singer of Julie's Haircut) completely out of it, wandering around with an ice cream spoon he was placing on the heads of the attendees asking, “Is it cold?”. At Black Mountain, he joined me on stage with a massive joint and nearly fell asleep. Years of abuse don’t change you, they leave you just the same, it seems. Oh, and I bought a super psychedelic poster of the concert and the tour of the two bands made by Malleus. The self-titled one is also from 2004 for me, so this year is heavy. @caz: I was told that Phase V doesn’t hold up against Liquid, which still remains my favorite by 35007. Have you by any chance heard Kings of Frog Island? And damn, why don’t you include the Residual Echoes? Try downloading them; they’re Comets on Fire + Six Organs of Admittance = delirium.
