Circulus The Lick On The Tip Of An Envelope Yet To Be Sent

Yes, damn it, I admit I was short on votes... but some vocal parts really give you goosebumps with how kitsch they are. I think you’d like Rocky. I'll vote the record again and send the samples.

Sent the samples....I'm off to work!!! Anyway, I don't know if it will last in my player, but for now, it's reigning almost unchallenged.

I'm contradicting myself; absurdly, I feel the cans more even though I find them less genius...

Yeah, also because apart from soul food I don't have anything, even though I've been hearing about them through friends for 10 years. I still remember when they came around '97 and there was a general pilgrimage, but I was just over twenty and barely downloaded it... I regret it a bit. Anyway, you made me rethink this Killers album... I'm reevaluating it, thanks!

You know I was about to get them yesterday... maybe I was right, especially since I've been seeing this CD in my favorite little shop for like a year. Good job, well done!

I would say they are the most influential band of the last 30 years, not so much for the music itself (which, when you think about it, only has the volume and the garage rawness, while the music is heavily influenced by Chuck Berry and rhythm and blues in general), but for the ferocity and violence of the sounds produced. Everyone, and I repeat everyone, the guitar bands that came after them have to pay tribute. Damn, these guys would blow out the amps to get a sound like that, to the point that the sound engineer left during the recording sessions!

Beautiful, well done, and I agree on many points. Live, it's one of the concerts I would love to see and see again. I even managed to have a chat with him three years ago and to think I spoke better Japanese than he did! As much as I like it, it's the only "new" album that I've given the maximum score to, also because some tracks manage to be (incredible!) better than the originals! Signed dc and when the night falls docet.

Well, your point of view on progressive and psychedelia seems a bit stereotypical to me; there are both crap and good things in both genres (but not only in garage punk and so on). The important thing is to choose and not to generalize. Then of course everything is mediated by personal taste, obviously.

I HEARD THEM THIS MORNING JUST....damn the capitals....but they don't convince me much. Sure, they're solid with a nice classic pull, but they’ve never particularly caught my attention. welcome, buddy r'n'r

Honestly, I was thinking of doing it at Christmas....but work is weighing me down. Anyway, I would have written a poem unlike you...to say the truth is in the middle. Anyway, how the hell did you come up with 25th Floor Elevators? I agree with Rocky that Volume II is more varied, there’s garage beat, r’n’r, nederbeat, fabulous psychedelic pop. But on this one, there’s the second CD which is an unstoppable jet engine....pure bliss, that’s it.
