At the time, I found it a bit tough, not because it was complex but because it was excessively noisy. I mean, alright, Guitar Wolf, but this album was a bit too chaotic. I should give it another listen anyway. Already the next one and Let It Bloom, especially, I like more because at least I can make out the instruments in the chaos.

Well, Sly is remarkable too, but too relaxed and soulful for my idea of funk. In my humble opinion, the Funkadelic and Sly were speaking two very different languages, both incredibly valid.
