Crippled Black Phoenix A Love Of Shared Disaster

downloaded, listened to a couple of times....antmo you're a bit of a jerk, they’re not too bad actually, in fact they seem to be growing with the listens. They sometimes remind me of the black heart procession from their second album. Very apocalyptic folk. Of course, the ambient parts like GYBE! got on my nerves too, but aside from that they're quite evocative. Anyway, to each his own antò!

"Hello everyone... This is my first review, I shouldn't be good at writing reviews, it's up to you to judge (don't be too harsh), thank you." ...... please, doing it would be like shooting at the Red Cross. The Accademia della Crusca thanks you very much.

They remain one of the groups that interest me the most around. No doubt about it, northern. Instead, the other day I was listening again to Deerhunter, the ones you recently reviewed... I don't really like them, you know? I can’t find the meaning. I don’t know, maybe I’ll just have old ears...

I find the exchange of remarks above very funny... I was a fan of the Smashing Pumpkins, but for example, I can't even listen to Mellon Collie by mistake, and I openly admit that the emotional weight keeps me attached to certain albums of theirs. Whether they were important or not in the '90s, I don't know... a bit, yes, but in hindsight, I believe there were bands whose long shadow extends much further than the Smashing Pumpkins, one example being Kyuss. While it's important, as you say, to be objective, it's also crucial to understand that there may be someone (and they are not a few) who doesn't appreciate them. As a grunge fan, I often clashed from my twenties onwards with those who (rightly or wrongly) deemed them crap, like Alessio. At first, I got really mad, but eventually, these critiques helped me to better contextualize their music. I realized I didn't see all this importance they were given, although I repeat I liked them. Is it really that hard to accept that some people think they suck? And what the hell does a sense of beauty mean? Do you think it's an objective concept? "What is beautiful is not what is beautiful, but what pleases" may be a ridiculous phrase, but here it fits perfectly...

Look, I was talking about it last night, but about the comic. I think I saw it during my pre-adolescent years, around '86... but I haven't been able to find it anywhere in ages.

Well, that's right, it's one of the worst things to have come out of my keyboard in a while...

But in fact, I think I have a bit of grandpa syndrome (and without even much awareness since I just passed thirty not long ago). More than anything, I rely on the prolonged reasoning that the passage of time favors, compared to the rush of the moment. But what you say is rightly true.

I wasn't saying that Machina shouldn't be criticized; I think it's crap, but I swear I can't remember a single track. In fact, I was saying that considering the many comments where you go all out (sometimes I agree, sometimes I don't, but it depends on personal taste, right?), it seemed a bit like forced omniscience, especially if you were really 20 years old. Maybe it's just a gut reaction of old-timerism, I can't deny that, but it often happens that those who give harsh judgments are young and not so well-versed in the subject. That said: 1) being young doesn't mean being stupid, quite the opposite; 2) being older = understanding everything and everyone and looking down on people; 3) ever since Mellon Collie, I can't stand them.

I was about to put up the recording of last month's concert at Bronson... what a letdown! Lots of smoke and little roast, when they play and want to do it right, they are MONSTERS, but half of the concert was like a rehearsal for a festa dell'unità with the audience on stage playing everything possible. I'll just say it ended with the bassist rapping over a human beatbox made by the drummer.

I've also reviewed the grizzly bear, wake up.... can I put one in the name of the good old times too?
