Beasts of Bourbon The Axeman's Jazz
Voto:
always interested, never deeply explored, I note them down and review. By the way, why don’t we create a nice checkbox next to the recommendations (or albums or whatever) like the "Save For Later" button on Amazon? This way, one can jot down funny recommendations or albums that they can’t listen to/download at the moment but promise to check out if they remember later?
Cheers to all

Damn, I'm slowly reevaluating this album; there's something fascinating about it. I can't listen to it attentively, but sometimes it has something that makes me perk up my ears, even as background music. I downloaded the latest northern and I'm really listening to it this week. Well, I like it more than Feels; I find it more varied, and some loops (like the initial one) are fantastic. But as I said, I don't know—it remains music that appeals more to my intellect than to my heart.
Giancarlo Santi Il grande duello (1973)

What wonderful memories when I could regularly attend the biennale. Ah, soon anyway I'll be in Venice for the Biennale d'arte.
Guillermo Del Toro Il Labirinto Del Fauno

a really beautiful film, better than I expected. Violent, perhaps too much for the context (let's say it's beautifully raw like I like it, but upon closer inspection, the scene of sewing up the cheek was put there for shock value), but definitely beautiful. I also found it poetic, the duality (even mythological) of the faun, nothing to say in my opinion you didn’t understand a thing paloz, but everyone is free to say it’s garbage.
Sergio Corbucci Django (1966)

If I'm not mistaken, Miike made a remake that was also presented in Venice. My father used to show me this film, Django and Sartana when I was little; he was a fan of the genre.

I was left a bit indifferent, guys. I had heard a lot of good things about it, but it was on Pitchfork, so I was skeptical. I couldn't dedicate enough time for a careful listen, so I won't give it a rating. Instead, I rediscovered an album I downloaded months ago that I'm not sure will last, but for now, it's sparking my interest: Alex Delivery on Jagjaguwar.

Well, I happily bought it from Amazon last month for €8, really beautiful.
...A Toys Orchestra Technicolor Dreams
Voto:
I still haven't figured out if they pass or fail, I've had them on my waiting list for over four months and I've only managed to dedicate a little space/time to them. And that little bit (aside from the first track which I liked) didn’t seem genius to me. Anyway, I think we’re crying miracle because as soon as someone in Italy does something decent, they seem like the Messiah. I don't mean to say that the performers think so or that the Toys Orchestra think so, but if they were foreign, they would have passed by without being noticed. Maybe I'll give them a second chance.
Luchino Visconti Ossessione

My girlfriend has been wanting to show it to me for two years, but between one thing and another, she hasn't managed to. I'm definitely very interested, even just because it was filmed in my city before the bombings that destroyed the alleys of the harbor, where the movie is set. A film that remains the only document left of that part of the city just after it was razed to the ground.
James Wan Saw - L'Enigmista

Yes, but the explanation of the pill is a trick added in hindsight (from what I've read, you say the ad hoc justification comes with the third one, God save me from seeing two more nonsense like that), because perhaps they realized how implausible the ending was. And I don't even believe it was planned from the beginning, since if it hadn't been successful, there wouldn't have been sequels. It's not Star Wars.
