What makes this album one of the best releases since the beginning of the year?
It must be Enzo Moretto's voice, as intense as Thom Yorke's or Chris Martin's from the golden days of Parachutes. Perhaps it's the piano that, with its very simple yet irresistible melodies, gives an absolutely original atmosphere to the more delicate tracks ("Invisible", "Letter To Myself", "Santa Barbara", "Panic Attack #3", "Mrs. Macabrette"). Or the lighthearted and cheerful tone of "Ease Off The Bit! " and "Cornice Dance", colorful episodes of that joy that adults often forget.
The lyrics (all in English) certainly contribute as well, capable of giving voice to often unexpressed feelings

or of describing with a few strokes characters that immediately gain substance

These guys from Salerno have made an impressive leap in quality, especially considering the already excellent level of the previous "Cuckoo Boohoo" (2004), thanks also to the careful production by Dustin O'Halloran, founder of the Los Angeles-based Devics.
To conclude, this is an album I feel like recommending to everyone and it demonstrates how even in Italy one can make Indie music without being excessively derivative.
