And instead I like it, I can make the same argument about this album by the Liars. I'm not crazy about Animal, in fact they really get on my nerves (or rather, it's those who excessively hype them that annoy me). Just because Strawberry Jam has nothing to do with their previous work (or very little) is why I like it. It might get boring quickly, but for example, I listened to Feels again last week after about a year or so and the inconclusive effect remained just the same. In the car, it almost made me crash, it's a narcoleptic record from Casper!

I swear and promise (I had just vowed to myself last week) to try to listen to them again, but I don’t know why I’d rather hear the second one, which impressed me in a very negative way the first time I listened to it (Tower Records in Tokyo, February 2004). It still ranks among the heaviest things, like Black One by Sunn O))).

eh eh....the guitar par excellence, right? Anyway, not out of false modesty, I prefer reviews in the style of the one on the homepage. ...it seems to me that writing the same kind of reviews is a bit like making shopping lists. Something I criticized in Enrybaxxx or others, and which really bothers me a bit. Anyway, the album isn't bad, but that's coming from someone who finds it hard to digest. For the fans, this self-titled might be a bit of a misstep. But I found it for 13 € new, and how could you not get it! The only problem is that now I'm stuck with a shopping list that’s already too long of new releases: Akron/Family - Love Is Simple; Black Lips - Good Bad Not Evil; Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam; Brimstone Howl - Guts Of Steel (you’ll like this one, Antò); Voice Of The Seven Woods (maybe the best of these).

Well, then I'm not the only one who experienced this in the aforementioned joke. And good for you with the stupid gag about climbing the dome; at that moment I thought to myself, "We're pretty lacking in comic ideas, huh?" Anyway, I'm diving back into the series.

Unfortunately, I mostly agree with the judgment. A watered-down version of The Real Simpsons. Some surreal finds are spot on (above all the old witch washing black cats in the lake), but when it comes to the dialogues, they miss the mark. There’s a lack of spite, that’s all. And above all, the surreal and nonsensical sketches. I have to say I envisioned it, but I was hoping for more entertaining ideas, instead a lot of the humor feels forced. The only joke that raised the bar was the one about "5 generations of endogamy," which half the people in the cinema didn’t understand, but let’s overlook that. But maybe I'm just too demanding, not realizing that it’s almost impossible to maintain a steady pace in a movie format when the series has 20-minute episodes. Missed opportunity.

beautiful review, impactful yet intriguing. I'm sorry but I sent mine last night too... damn, this one wasn't there. Well, I guess you conveyed the idea of the album in question better than I did. Flinstone's note on Rumours is correct, but the overall effect of your review captures the image of the Liars well. I'll leave my comment on the album for my next review of it. Well done.

I actually thought I had completely messed up, well, I’ll look for Ted Nugent then.

Hello everyone. Yes, the comparison to Animal is just an approach; musically, these are more challenging, at least compared to the latest Animal Collective. By the way, they released an album that is definitely more digestible than the rest of their production. This album had been a concern of mine for a while: after I downloaded it, I dismissed it immediately, and it stuck in my throat until I listened to it calmly with headphones. Nothing stunning, but at least it’s not an album that leaves you indifferent.

Excuse me, Grant, I realized it later. It's true they could do more because they have double the guts compared to the current regional groups.
