If by "little teachers" you were referring to me (or to Chinaski), it seems you are trying to project onto us the flaw of not accepting criticism. Anyway, I wasn't criticizing your writing because I haven't had the time to read it yet. It's happened to all of us to come off as "know-it-alls" around here, willingly or unwillingly. Once (I'm talking about almost 4 years ago when I first arrived), we even had time to welcome new reviewers. Now, that's impossible, so it sometimes happens that one doesn't handle things gently. However, I don't think I stirred up a controversy out of nowhere; it was merely a note. The fact that a short review is better than a long one is simply because you will be read more if the writing is shorter. And I say this because it's a matter of consumption and reading online. That's why I advise everyone to keep it no longer than 2500 characters max.

in agreement with supersoul, also on the advice of Wolfgangsvault.com, which I have been following for about a year and has brought me a lot of joy, especially for the live Jefferson. I, on the other hand, am part of the Crown Of Creation party.

fuck fest! Radiohead and Akron/Family have nothing in common! Or rather these Akron might, in certain moments, remind you of the early Radiohead during intimate ballads, but what they’ve done afterward is a completely different story, at least as I hear it. @Lewis: in my opinion, out of the three names, you’re missing out a lot just by not listening to Akron, especially Meek Warrior and the split with Angels Of Light (in certain moments they sound like Mad River in symbiosis with a noise jazz ensemble!); regarding Devendra, you’re not missing much, but he does have something to say, even if he’s a bit too much of a fake freak (these guys are seriously fried!). As for Cocorosie, I'll just drop a pitying veil, I don’t like shooting at the Red Cross…

After the leggokyk, but ame is the one I like the least from Akron/Family. The last one is about to arrive, I’ll send it tonight, but it’s already one of my albums of the year, more similar to this than to the two previous EPs.

Maybe yes, supersoul, I should have given it more attention but after a month of having it, it ended up in the back of my mind and not a single melody stuck with me. I'm repeating, great band that I would see live tomorrow, but this album doesn't say anything. At least to me.

"The fact that I haven't read the book doesn't stop me from claiming that 'Blade Runner goes well beyond the story.' I wrote this because several friends who are passionate about both the story and the film, and whose opinions I often share, have reiterated this concept to me multiple times." Well, then it's like giving 5/5 to a Led Zeppelin cover album without even wanting to listen to the originals and maybe considering them inferior... Anyway, I also don’t judge a film by comparing it to the book it’s based on, especially since if I’ve read the book, the film often loses something. But there are exceptions (see The Shining), and for certain things, BR is an exception as well, because it is quite distant from the book. I was actually correcting you because you were the one indirectly comparing the book and the film, so I thought (and hoped) you had read it. Usually, opinions are expressed on things known, not based on others' comments. At most, you don't reference the book. Anyway, do as you see fit, but the book is interesting, and it's even available in a budget edition now.

I haven't finished it, it's too long, but I don't agree when you say that Scott pushes beyond Dick's narrative... have you read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? In comparison, Blade Runner is a feel-good film, and above all, it lacks the brilliant aspect of religion, which is completely non-existent in the book. This doesn’t mean that BR is poorly made; it has always been one of my cult films. More than a cyberpunk film, it has somehow also served as inspiration (more visually than textually) for many themes dear to Gibson and Co. If I remember correctly, Neuromancer came after the film. However, we must always give Dick his due: if I'm not mistaken, the themes later considered cyberpunk are all clearly influenced by Dick.

As I mentioned in the last posts about the Rubber Factory record, this album is worth nothing. And I hate to say it because both Rubber Factory and the previous one (damn, I can't remember the name) were remarkable. Definitely better is a band produced by Auerbach lately, the Brimstone Howl.

Well, I also don't like the sounds of Ten at all, which is why I almost only listen to Vitalogy and Vs. (to this day, my favorite PJ). However, the slow and dreamy tracks on Ten are perhaps the best, not to mention Black, which was a constant anguish at the time. But Vs and Vitalogy, at least in terms of sound, have aged better.
