Hi zaireeka. I was intrigued by this disc but I avoided downloading it a while ago. Now maybe I'll go for it. Those were good times when I used to go blindly with records; it’s a shame that now you're really taking a risk. The letdown is always around the corner, especially considering the average quality of stuff circulating in stores (and I’m not even talking about the niche ones).

I'm sorry ziabice, I find them terrible. A reflection of these years full of hype and not much else. Containers with little content. And they reflect even more this terrible start to 2008. Ah, I would also throw the new MGMT into the shopping basket, they’re terrible as well. If you go to a party of fresh-faced youths in their striped t-shirts (just so) and put this record on, you'll manage to get some lemonade. Perhaps that's the only serious use for it.

Downloaded yesterday, but the way you talk about it makes me think it’s going to blow my mind like Baron Karza from the Micronauts in 1:1 scale.

Nice album I picked up almost at random during my last trip to Japan. Unfortunately, I don't have the bonus tracks (I got the tiny Japanese edition while I was there). It's true that it sounds like at least two different bands, the soulful R'n'B track caught me off guard at first, but the suite "Bright Carvings" is truly beautiful. @Ole: Second Hand are a great band, Death... is a trip but to be honest, I’m not sure if I really like it that much. I’m trying to find the time to really listen to Tea & Symphony. Maybe you’d also like Czar, very Crimson-esque (maybe even too much).

Ah, in the eponymous song, the acid guitar part, if I'm not mistaken, is played by Jimmy Page... just to reiterate his constant presence in many bands since the mid-'60s onwards.

Yokai Daisenso is a remake of an equivalent visionary film from the '60s; too bad I haven't seen either... fuck having a shit PC.

beautiful movie, my current girlfriend introduced me to it. Strange to be seduced by this little and unsettling gem! I would slip the spoiler in somewhere dear dull, but first, I would dust off the dear diamond thread beloved by Asami-chan...

It's not very cool to say it now, but I liked them a lot back then, even though I already noticed some terrible similarities (with everyone and no one in particular from the so-called grunge scene, but I think the detractors have a point). The first one is definitely the worst in this respect, all the way up to Tiny, which I listened to a bit ago and found has aged better than other contemporaneous stuff. And Interstate Love Song was the soundtrack to my drunk returns home in my trusty 126! Fortunately, the breathalyzer was just a scarecrow back then.

Damn, I also lost it back then... but did Flinstone wash his balls afterward?
