It wasn't a controversy, just a piece of advice. But do as you wish, obviously.

I don't understand you either, Panico. You write about interesting albums and then dive into this pointless controversy. I think Bartle expressed the opinion of many. This is (or rather was) a site for reviews, free, but always reviews. Not a moral butcher shop for personal fixations or frustrations, or an altar for your ego cult (but I think half of the users would agree here). Have you tried here? www.debaser.it/casiletterari.asp

As mentioned in the Vampire Weekend review, these managements are really terrible. So much fluff in this 2008. For heaven's sake, better than Vampire Weekend (which isn’t saying much), but definitely dispensable. And what makes me angriest is that we had finally managed to rid ourselves of 80's electropop, and its terrible memories were thankfully fading, when some self-destructive person thought it would be "cool" and we were inundated even more than before. These are very much 80's to me, not so much and especially for the sounds or influences, but because they are the epitome of the 80s: plastic. The first time I heard this album I was about to turn into He-Man! And I’m sorry, but this album is super catchy, Fridmann, I hope he makes money from it, given that with Mercury he doesn’t even see them from afar anymore.

It seemed to me that someone had written this review years ago! Luckily the good Humax who put this thumb up, uprooted just this Saturday when I found this little musical trip for €10 used. What a great stroke of luck!

Blackbeard, are you feeling a bit ratty? Heh heh...

Well, Gianca is obviously a fake who writes random things that I don't think he believes. Otherwise, he's simply subhuman. You know that one could occasionally try to think things through, look beyond their own nose, not always choose the easiest path, etc.? It helps a muscle that is fundamental for our life and protection: the brain. Goodnight.

one of those albums that I always told myself I should at least download, only to change my mind and say "I'll get the original"... and in the end, I never did! I've read about 6 reviews of this album, but I still don’t know what to expect. Something like Think Pink by Twink? Or + AUmgn (which makes me uneasy because you only need one AUMGN and it should be listened to once a year!) But I really like the Art of Supernatural Fairytales. Recommendation for fans of the UK psych scene: if you have €38 (!!!) to throw away or a big Feltrinelli discount (my case), buy "All'ombra di Sgt Pepper," a mega comprehensive book about the English underground scene, very well done. Well, congratulations Mike, nice rec. The compilation and the magazine are unknown to me, I’m not very into the avant-garde, I prefer the rearguard. For a while, I was interested in japanoizu, but more for a socio-anthropological interest than for mere musical reasons.

Damn, you're right, I read it but didn't comment! And sorry, J-Pop enthusiasts, maybe I should stop always commenting negatively on this stuff, otherwise I'll come off as someone who has a personal beef with Japanese girls (not cool since I have quite a few friends over there).
