The singer is the only person I can regularly argue with about Scaruffi, him pro, me against. They've never been my cup of tea, but live they’re quite impressive.
Hunter S. Thompson Paura e disgusto a Las Vegas (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas)

Never read it unfortunately, but enjoyed the movie. One major note: Sonny was NOT friends with Hunter, no matter what Hunter says. In fact, in the biography, Barger calls him: "a real loser and a fucking coward." It's almost frightening when he recounts the beating of Thompson by Junkie George, complete with an axe?!

nooo I disagree Lewis, 54 is all over the place, full of interesting episodes but disjointed. Q remains their masterpiece, I’m about to read it for the third time! The way they explain the birth of banks is illuminating. Especially this book (but also all the others) shines a light on little-known historical nooks and crannies (the Fugger, who the hell knew who they were?) and stimulates further exploration (I read a couple of books on Anabaptist utopia during my thesis) the final part in Venice is brilliant, I went through all the alleyways of the chase from the church and the boys were spot on, alley by alley almost! Asce di Guerra is another great book, but it’s different (read it anyway). I also met Pedrini and Bui (or was it Di Meo? Damn, what a shitty memory), because they are friends of my sister.

I also thought about writing a few lines for Mala; she was my most frequent contact and my source (along with Fest) of great records. But in the end, I don't know if it would be worth it. I feel awkward in these situations; I become too sentimental (and that would be fake and forced, and Mala, as I knew her, hated "sappiness") or too cold. Moreover, the pain I feel for her passing is nothing compared to that of her family and everyday friends, so I prefer to retreat into a silent respect. I'm a bit sad; it feels like the spell that kept me connected to debaser (in recent times, more out of inertia, as I often wrote to Mala) has cracked a bit. Maybe it's a good time to take a break, who knows... Anyway, congrats Kosmo; I can imagine it wasn't easy to put this review together. Bye.

Ah, I forgot, I saw it on the airplane months ago. A total mess, confusing effects (during the battles, to really enjoy it, you would have to slow it down, otherwise you can't understand a damn thing), paper-thin characters.

Well, even I found "La meglio gioventù" a bit off-putting, especially the second part that ruins the film (especially the ending!). But, of course, it's an island in the sea of cinematic crap that we produce.

You got me, Gustavo, this has always been my favorite from the Macchina Morbida. And the concise British alphabet is brilliant. I also find Third a bit cold, but I wouldn't dare say it's self-indulgent as an improvisation, also because often everyone finds their own personal interpretations in experiments. I’ve never found the key. One small note: in '69, Syd was already pretty far gone, both mentally and from the Floyd.

Hi guys, I obviously realized too late about the mess I wrote, I don't know why I remembered they were from New York. Well, my apologies.

Ah, the reading progresses but a couple of things have already gotten on my nerves, like choosing Discipline by King Crimson and calling their first album "overrated." And I don't know, snob? Furthermore, there are two albums by the Clash, while the introduction mentions one album per group. And then there's Bronski Beat... but for Christ's sake, do we realize I BRONSKI BEAT!!!!!

Thank you, attendees. The young boys on the horizon are interesting, and in the links there’s also a live performance for Pitchfork that captures the essence (especially the uselessness of Jazzy Jeff and the unlikelihood of the Mexican). @super: I’ll check it out since I wanted to revisit the Opal album just these days.
