What you say about Northaunt is true. Listening to it again, the album has opened up many more perspectives on his music for me. It's very valid and he is very skilled. The tracklist has a particular evolution that makes it a somewhat challenging album in certain ways. I don’t remember what I heard from Lustmord, but I will try to get my hands on Rising and Carbon/Core, if only for the sake of knowledge and completeness, and to form a more rounded judgment on his work. Regardless of everything, thank you also for the suggestion of Desiderii Marginis (which I will make a point to explore as soon as possible). My annoyance was indeed triggered by the review, but especially by the comments. I saw people attacking a figure who, as far as I'm concerned, is a giant, and I truly saw nothing beyond that.

Look, I'm telling you frankly. I've never really appreciated Lustmord much because it’s too linear. Then yesterday I listened to Darkspace and Northaunt. Two very different things for sure, but to which you dedicated two interesting reviews (especially the latter). Too linear. Not imaginative. In short, I didn't feel much at all. Especially Northaunt; it's hard to imagine a more overrated review. I'm sorry, maybe it's really a matter of taste at this point, but I maintain my 1 for this review. It's not really possible, objectively possible, to give a 2 to this album. Nordvargr devours Lustmord and Northaunt for breakfast combined. This man is light years ahead in the dark ambient scene, no doubt about it.

I'll get this in a flash. Exceptional review.

Reviews are amusing. And often they can be much more artistic than what they criticize. However, this is not the case. Your judgment is too harsh and doesn't offer much in terms of analysis. Nordvargr is a genius in his field, perhaps even one of the best. If only you had found something else to throw your eggs at... here you really shot your load wildly.

Jesus did not kill the child at all. He gave him euthanasia. And I think this is an interesting point to reflect on (not for me, obviously, but perhaps for some priest).
Godfrey Reggio Koyaanisqatsi
Voto:
The film, like the entire "qatsi" trilogy, I found incredibly diluted and meaningless. Much better Baraka at this point. Anima Mundi (also by G. Reggio) with its persistent close-ups of animals in a Spielbergian style deserves to be highlighted. And G. Reggio also deserves to be highlighted. The word masterpiece in the case of a film like this is completely out of place. Pretentious. 1.
Franz Kafka Il Processo

evidently it's the first thing you read by Kafka. well, you can't imagine what awaits you around the corner. his work is deadly. just as you can't imagine what his vision of life, things, and especially writing might have been. Kafka, a great.
