David Silverman I Simpson - Il Film

diokant if you're sad Poletti. It's clear that you're a fan. Now enough. Calm down, or you'll end up losing your health. I've never heard anyone spout so much nonsense at once, praising something with such zeal, method, and rigor that it makes it hateable. And for God's sake... there’s a limit to everything. I believe that the moment a viewer starts to consider an animated film as "better" than a live-action film, and uses this preference to throw fiery darts at undeniably valuable works (especially in moral and poetic terms) like American Beauty, well, that's when we’re really teetering on the edge of the abyss of dissociation, of pure madness. There is no militant animated film in that sense. An animated film that positions itself like those artistic movements (think of the '70s) that challenged certain iconic and moral values with the intent to sweep them away with strokes of intelligence. An animated film is always, in one way or another, a work of citation (even self-citation), but it is never something militant that seeks to destroy certain artistic values, even when it seems to be so. The subversive power of the Griffins is there, in their attempt to push through this barrier, but even they fail. The Simpsons also remain within the cartoon-world territory; they were among the first to attempt to cross that boundary. This is their greatest merit. This Simpson The Movie is, by Groening's own admission, something made for the fans of the series, a commercial product nonetheless. And there will be more Simpson The Movie. There will be at least another one in a few years. So it's not a unique and unparalleled artistic manifestation, rather a serial product as well, like all films and sequels. Your crusade (or rather I would almost say your QUEER crusade) against American Beauty through the ram-Simpsons is a crazy and very foolish thing, and it demonstrates how much your cinematic vision is distorted by an excess of cultism. In simple words, you don’t understand much.

Damn, a review worth framing in its own way. Completely imbued with a network of implicit considerations that come out (but only in minimal percentage) in the last sentence.

But for heaven's sake, what does American Beauty have to do with this movie?! What does it have to do with it?! Did I miss something?! And why such a mess? A mess like American Beauty... come on!!

Sorry, I don't want to provoke a response from you. But those are not quotes. A quote is: open quotes - verbatim discourse - close quotes.

a truly uninspired review. in fact, let's just say it's really "lacking." the film, needless to say, is a "Haneke." so 5. five five five five five. five.

the fake of all those who start a review with "this is my first review" and consistently review an album that already has about twenty.
