Chet Baker With Fifty Italian Strings
Voto:
One evening in a venue, Davis (Miles) goes to a place where Chet is playing. Baker sees him and, after the set, approaches him, feeling intimidated. But even before he can introduce himself, Miles says to him, "You suck at playing the trumpet." (Not bad, huh?)

I also don't know this Chet CD; I only have a few but they are truly beautiful, like "Chet Baker & Crew" and "Picture of Heath," also known as "Playboy." If anyone could recommend other albums (even more recent ones), I would appreciate it. I recently finished the biography "Chet, la lunga notte di un mito," and it's a splendid book that recounts Chet's entire life from birth to death. I obviously recommend it to Baker fans but also to all jazz lovers (there are some really tasty anecdotes).

Socrates, look, there’s no problem for me; after all, it was you who intervened. The issue could have just as well not existed for me.

Socrates, you were not given the gift of synthesis, and it's a great pity because with your speeches you talk a lot but say nothing, and I reiterate that this record contains the PROFANATION of music.
Herbie Hancock Headhunters

A splendid and unstoppable album from the funkiest Hancock, a gem.

Another record marked in my notebook (I had heard good things about it, and this is confirmation), I'm lacking in vocal jazz; I really have very few (for my taste) apart from some by Holiday, Vaughan, Fitzgerald, to Helen Merrill and Sheila Jordan (Charlie Parker's favorite singer), I will take care of the purchase. The review is excellent.

"Jazz is both gut and brain at the same time. Once its logic and taste unfold (not complicated at all, as you’ll see if you already have the virus circulating!), any resistance is futile." A huge round of applause for this last definition by Symbad; the rating below is for this sentence (I've already given my feedback on aal).
