AMALTEO if in your opinion they are "essential" records, why did you give them 3 stars?
McCoy Tyner Inception - The real McCoy

Of the 2 albums reviewed, I only know "The Real McCoy," which is an absolute masterpiece of jazz. I will also get the other one; always great insights in the reviews (not a bad idea for a double recommendation).

I fully agree with Stronko.

Great Stanley, if this is a review on the soundtrack, what does Kubrick have to do with being a musician/composer, come on!!! Not mentioning then Walter Carlos (who later became Wendy around the time of the "Shining" soundtrack, if I'm not mistaken) as the composer of the electronic pieces and rearrangements of some classical tracks, really a terrible review.

It's a load of crap, then, it's the hundredth review on this album that at most is good for playing frisbee with.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is an authentic masterpiece, the review is also excellent.
Hank Mobley The Turnaround
Voto:
Wanderer, I strongly recommend you listen to Mobley's fabulous records like "Soul Station" (his first album for Blue Note), "No Room For Squares", "Roll Call", "Workout", and the 2 CDs with Art Blakey "At The Cafe Bohemia."
Hank Mobley The Turnaround

For me, this album is not among Mobley's best. It's certainly catchy and undoubtedly well played, but it's more commercial compared to other works of the great blues saxophonist. The track "Turnaround" explicitly draws from the masterpiece "The Sidewinder" by Lee Morgan, in an attempt to replicate its success. In short, I think Mobley has done better.
