I don't know this, but for me Trust Us is one of the best psycho-rock albums around. I didn't know they also had a "Walkin' with Jesus"... as long as that j stands for Jesus and not for Jankulovski.

I went to read but since I'm not welcome "there," I'm writing here :). Don't you think you're overreacting, Rivo? Do you really think that this review and that of the Afghan Whigs are copied or that the authors took inspiration from your blog? I didn't find anything similar. Apart from a sentence quoted in a booklet (whoever has the record will know, right?) and the "autumnal sensations" mentioned by joser. Honestly, if I listen to Arab Strap, what do you think comes to mind? Naked ladies? I don't know, I just don't understand all this malice.

...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead The Secret Of Elena's Tomb

Intelligence is indeed a beautiful piece and disarming for those who knew them beforehand, and I must say, in light of the last album, I re-evaluate this EP a bit, which, however, has the small flaw (grown to be significant in the last one) of being presumptuous. Personal opinion: the Trail don’t have the ability to do rock in 360° (very few can afford it), and here they started to show that. Crowning of a heart and Counting Off The Days aren't bad, but I find them trivial, really. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that they are the only 'acoustic' and more overtly pop songs they have ever composed, apart from a nearly unknown b-side from their early days, the title of which I can’t recall now. I’m probably (very) influenced by the fact that I was crazy about Source Tags And Codes and their self-titled debut, tinged with psychedelia that has never really been "explored" afterwards. But that’s that :). Bye

It's a beautiful dream this album, especially the duo Miranda-Trellisaze. However, I wanted to ask, why compassion? Can't we stop with these grand gestures that just risk ruining an excellent review? It's enough to say that they didn't get anything wrong like Slowdive (I'm unfortunately not familiar with the posthumous works of the various band members).

Mmmm I struggle to define them, let's say noise-rock and that's it :)...I wrote a pseudo-review of the latest album some time ago here on debaser, more than the review, the 4 samples I included will be useful to you :D..bye!

Logic, I was just about to ask you if it was yours or a quote because I found it beautiful as a phrase. I've listened to and really enjoyed an album by the Paper Chase lately that is based roughly on the same concept. The music, though, seems to be very different, from what I gather. Hi!
