Pandora, I’m talking to you because Dexster doesn’t grasp things very quickly: what I mean to say is not “this record has nothing nice about it,” but “it’s a record by a mediocre musician (who might be liked) that makes mediocre music (which might be liked too).” Do you catch the difference? Objectively, Michelangelo’s David is a masterpiece, but my Uncle Francesco doesn’t like it, so what?

So objectively we can't say that VU&N is a fucking mediocre album, right? Of course, you might not like it (subjectivity) but you can't claim it's a mediocre record. Objectively, Masini is a less than mediocre musician; subjectively, Jim thinks he’s terrible while Dexster doesn’t. Objectively, what color is the sun? I say brown because I like it more!
