Of course, speaking of the latest works, I neglected to mention "ca ira" by Roger, with its decidedly superior and courageous style.

Roger was a show-off, and he could afford to be. His egocentrism allowed him to bring out wonderful things, keeping him away from the clutches of banality and lack of inspiration. If Roger's solo career isn't among the best, Gil's is truly of low rank; just consider On An Island and you’re faced with something “heard it before” as enormous as Pippo Franco’s nose. Everyone has their own tastes, but I don't think you can compare the weight of one with that of the other. Gil managed to create the sound that characterized the Floyd for a good part of the mid-period and the decadent Floyds of the last years. If that’s a merit. No hard feelings, obviously, just different perspectives. Saluds.

Why is that? Or do you only talk about physical appearance? :D

It is well known, even to my aunt, that Waters is not the ultimate expression of knowing how to handle the instrument; it is also known that Waters is more off-key than Gil & Wri, so his live performances suffer as a result. However, the idea that his merits are inferior to others is a total load of nonsense. Waters is not mythologized; his merits are acknowledged.

Speak silently, Odra, someone could take it seriously :D The flea in your ear makes me happy you’ve gotten it; a good re-listen might help you change your opinion, as it often happens. Saluds, good Odra, the new season begins.

But I am a super powerful debaseriano! :D Great idea to get the album, it shouldn't be difficult; you can definitely find it at Feltrinelli, my dear. And while you're at it, pick up "Centro del mundo" as well. The latter also includes (for free) an acoustic disc, which features the beautiful "Belzebù." A track like few others, stunning.

Yes, Waters is the only one who has climbed back up. Even with The Final Cut, he attempted to prove something, separating himself from the rest of the band, and the evidence is in his solo albums. The blasphemous commerciality always desired by Gil is nothing short of annoying: the last years of the Floyd and his solo career are proof of that. With "On An Island," he has hardly covered himself in glory: reprise, reprise, reprise.

It's not exactly news: Mason has never been a champion with the sticks in hand while Wright's best days were already light years away. One lives off past glory, the name is enough and more. Ah, but you have to hold a note for more than 10 seconds to complete the stage effect.
