Of course, this is not synonymous with quality, but in their case, it is... I agree with the "ranking" of albums proposed by primiballi, but I wouldn't underestimate the importance of Morrison Hotel (it's an album outside the Doors' usual framework) like the other two, as it represents a transition between the first and second age. In my opinion, you didn’t understand anything about the album, and I’m not saying this out of spite, but based on what you wrote in your review. Let me preface by saying that to claim the Doors are overrated is ignorance on the subject (pixelid): they’ve proven they can play, they brought theatricality, poetry, and innovation to the stage (and don’t come to me saying their genre sounds like someone else’s). What the hell else did you want? The sterile virtuosity of a flamenco guitarist? Not needed. A double bass drum? Why on earth? The jazz sounds it introduced don’t require it. Just like the bossa nova rhythms. Shall we throw away Morrison's warm baritone voice? Or Manzarek’s invaluable hands? What nonsense, sure there was a dip with Waiting For The Sun and The Soft Parade, but to go from that to saying what I see written is utter nonsense with a triple bow. This is an extremely precious, acid-laden album, different from the first but equally of the highest level... Regarding the review: but why stop? I really don’t understand. I agree that it's not written in smooth Italian, but...
