Poletti, your musical ignorance is truly overwhelming; every post of yours is a compilation of nonsense that would make the skin of a capon crawl. A 3 for Meddle? The Final Cut being the lowest point in the Floyd's career? It's all laughable… Review not read.

Poletti, as usual, you're missing the mark. It wasn’t said: "The greatest live show of all time," but one of the greatest, which is quite different. So your clarification is pointless, sterile, and makes no sense. The fact remains, however, that the Doors definitely knew how to handle their instruments, and in live performances, they brought out a rock erotic charge that barely comes through in the albums. This is one hell of an album, with top-notch audio, performances truly worthy of a great band. Who Do You Love, the medley from BOT... Totally different from the cold Live in Scandinavia or at the Hollywood Bowl. A MUST-HAVE.

@Pixelid: you don't know the Doors, that's for sure.

No ocram, mine is a fairly objective opinion. Read my thoughts on The Soft Parade or Waiting For The Sun... It's an exceptional live album, get it.

Excellent review for what is probably one of the best live albums in rock history. As is well known, few were the concerts that the band managed to complete, so this is nothing more than a collection of snippets from various performances. However, upon listening, the collection provides such a continuity that it feels like a single medley. The audio quality is also excellent, unlike almost all of the Doors' live material. Pure energy.

I pulled out Symbad and listened to it twice yesterday in the car. I had partially forgotten the acoustic delicacy of the sounds, the sudden acceleration of the rhythms, and the jazzy drumming. Mc Laughlin...

The only thing I can deduce from this review is that you have some pretty damn stupid friends, that's for sure. Then, nothing more.
