ELIO E LE STORIE TESE ARE THE ONLY MUSICIANS IN ITALY WHO CAN CALL THEMSELVES... A-R-T-I-S-T-S! The others are dirty copycats of already invented genres. The Eelst are unique instead. Find me a group, a group formed before them, that has made songs like they have! Music is Art. Art is innovation and creativity. Elio e le storie tese are innovation and creativity. Therefore, THEY are artists.
This is not one of the best CDs, but it's very nice and has songs like "Gimmi I" that even have underlying morals! You just need to make an effort to understand the irony and the metaphors.

I've never seen them live, but I have many of their live recordings that let me imagine how they might sound in concert, and their ORIGINALITY and ability to amaze even in a live setting!!!
I have their entire discography and albums like The Yes Album, Fragile, Going For The One, Close To The Edge, and Drama. Guys, I swear I have never heard anything of such high quality. Unmatched. Perhaps a bit bold, but still among the greatest in music; undeniably historic! And... I love them too, and I'm crazy about Jon!
