I was in Florence for the live show on November 13th... a terrifyingly beautiful concert, my first time seeing Tool live... yet I felt a certain coldness. Adam gives off the impression that he’s more interested in taking home his share of the profits... Maynard's costumes give him a very alien and surreal vibe, though somewhat rockstar-ish. Other than that, it was truly an unforgettable experience; I hope for the best next time.

There is nothing wrong with this album; on the contrary, it is perfect... "Failure" is almost dizzying in its intensity and funeral-like quality. "You Know Nothing" is simply magnificent. "Better Than You" hypnotizes and stuns you, while "The Most Unfortunate Lie" is a stab to the heart. The atmosphere is incredible, that of a dream colliding with a nightmare, an hypnosis meeting a state of shock. After the dreadful scenes of violence and masochism painted in the earlier albums, Gira has indulged in poetic hallucinations that lend a more universal sense to his dramaturgy of defeat and humiliation, a definite step forward, in my opinion. A review that perfectly captures the essence of the album, and the quote from the lyrics of "Miracle Of Love" is splendid.

Absolutely delirious, catastrophic, surreal, dark, apocalyptic... "Destruction" brings to mind films like "Blade Runner" and "Terminator," alongside the hallucinatory "Hizbollah," "You Know What You Are," and "Stigmata," the masterpiece of the album.

A bit too long, I would only save "Everyone Is Totally Insane" and "Holding Me Up" (and a little bit of "The New Country").

I liked it, but I still need to process it... hey, it's been a while since I last logged into debaser, too many caxxi... I'll have some for a while longer, then a new review.

I won't deny him a five, Mr. wrecking ball, even though I’m not familiar with the album in question.

I've never really liked them too much... Aside from "Voglio armarmi," I think that "Canapa" and the like are just silly nonsense.

Too many people are talking about it positively. I absolutely have to get it.

A beautiful album... I liked it right away. As far as I'm concerned, it's definitely superior to "Quello che non c'è," although that one isn't bad either (maybe a bit limp from "La gente sta male" onwards).
