hellring is another album (dragonlord), the one with defenders... great album that too...
Rhapsody Symphony Of Enchanted Lands
Voto:
redthrasher, these are the usual two-bit personal opinions... I listened to Anthrax a bit and they really suck for me... Rhapsody is a whole different story... but this is as useless an opinion as yours... Anthrax are historical just as Rhapsody are brilliant and original in their genre. Period.
Iron Maiden The Number Of The Beast
Voto:
empty review. The album is heavy metal, and I would say there’s no debate about it... it has become part of the common imagination.
Rhapsody of Fire Triumph or Agony

the pain! empty and useless reception and discussion

Rhapsody Of Fire Triumph Or Agony

obviously... but I think there has been a substantial change: try re-listening to legendary tales.. it's confirmed that rhapsody started as a studio band, transforming, now more than ever, into a live band: as a consequence, much less technicality, much less speed, etc.
Rhapsody Of Fire Triumph Or Agony

Well... I'm neither in agreement with Spreka nor with Dreamwarrior... The album, forever bearing a Rhapsody stamp, feels quite different from the others. Turilli and Staropoli, as guitarist and keyboardist, are in the background... the orchestra dominates, which, although essential, is meticulously crafted in every detail... the tracks lack that aggression that characterized each of their albums to some extent (the last one, Symphony, had less of it, although the double bass was still flying), in favor of a melody that is never obvious and well thought out. The true protagonist of the album seems to be a very mature Fabio Lione (who is also the songwriter of the excellent "Canto del vento," as mentioned in the review), who manages to alternate, with versatility and nonchalance, theatricality and experience, his crystal-clear voice, now more "bad," now more crystalline.
Returning to the album, I reiterate its difference compared to the previous ones; it seems to me closer to a soundtrack album, one that seeks beauty in the whole and in balance, rather than in the prominence of individual components (a choice by Rhapsody that, while successful, is highly debatable).
Symphony X Twilight In Olympus

Everything is beautiful! Great album, great band, review that does justice: I wanted to write this review myself.. but I always say that about everything and then in reality I never start it.
Korpiklaani Tales Along This Road
Voto:
nice pagan party of the Wizard of Oz...I prefer these Korpiklaani though... (but they're definitely not a 5!!!!!!)
Rhapsody Tales From The Emeral Sword Saga
Voto:
nightmetaller!! I'm also going to meet Luca and his crew on the 30th!! Only I'm heading to Milan... decent review (not very in-depth) non-essential album (except for a few remixed versions: liked the one of rage of the winter)... but the rhapsody still remains anyway.
