Receipt no. 4: "You know what? I'm not really going to mention this album. It sucks, plain and simple. No explanation needed. If you trust it, good for you, otherwise, fuck off." Duration: 4.5 minutes. Damn...

Review n°3: "Hey listen, what an album of ugly covers, but really ugly. And it sounds so fake. I think it’s crap. What do you guys think?". Duration: 4 minutes. Wow!!

Review n°2: "A piece of shit like this doesn't deserve a review; in fact, it deserves these few boring and nagging lines. But what do you care? No one gives a damn about a record like this. That's enough, I'm off to get myself a Happy Meal." Time: 6 minutes. But.

To call this a review is an insult to those who truly write reviews. Bullshit like this can be written by anyone, without thinking, without passion, without a damn thing, at the pace of one every 15 minutes. I'll start:
"What the hell are two such different acts doing together, one semi-punk and a group now in decline? A cover album or just some nonsense to gather support, or both? Real interests or pure showbiz? Who knows, it’s their business, but it leaves me indifferent. In the meantime, I’m going to take care of myself."
Time: 7 minutes.

In the sense that "Culture," willingly or unwillingly, in Italy has been and is primarily the domain of the Left (on the Right, right-wing artists can be counted on the fingers of one hand), it follows that if as a singer you "take a stand," it is probably easier to do concerts, appear on TV, promote records here, participate in some PRO-something events (Africa, tsunami, May Day, etc.), and the various Vecchioni, Jovanotti, Guccini, De Gregori, Dalla, and all the ones you know are aware of this. Pelù has understood it, and even Baglioni! This is not a political discourse of mine (by the way, I lean toward the Left!), but an objective fact evident to everyone. Elementary, Watson.

I don't believe that Fortis is left-wing. If that were the case, he wouldn't have spent so much time in the back rows of the Music-Biz...

Overrated album: a rehash of '70s riffs, styles, and sounds with a slight veneer of modernity. Not to mention the last one, which is a bad citation of this. Childish and suffocating review, very predictable and straight out of a classroom assignment. Meh!

What's strange is this: one can disagree with the judgment on something but still recognize the "beauty" or originality of a review. This is called objectivity and intellectual honesty. Or maybe you're one of those "either this or that," either black or white, either reds or fascists?
