but perhaps the fact of being insignificant (neither beautiful nor ugly, just kind of cute) does.

I don't agree, my younger brother considers the music of Carcass to be Art and snubs Ravel's Bolero. Beautiful and ugly have ALWAYS been subjective values, so much so that the canons of beauty and ugliness have changed (and continue to change) over the centuries and years. Is the actress Casta beautiful, for example?

I remedy the rudeness, my lord Mr. No, and I present this alternative: "nonsense n°1: beauty is never objective"... if this pleases you, consider it as good, at your service. Mr. P

I admit I've never heard those songs and I'll try to catch up, after all, we live in a "fast world": if after 4 or 5 times you still think it sucks, you’re unlikely to give it a 6th chance; it’s probably going to suck every time... it's the rule for those who have little time to explore and just move on, ah, the good old days when you had 4 or 5 LPs to focus on your artistic journey, now everything is done quickly.

Come on, let’s be a bit objective: Dodi may not be A GUITAR GENIUS, but he’s well above the national average (which doesn’t mean much...) and he has shown it, at times, especially in a Live context. The drama lies in THE SONGS which come across as banal, predictable in their transitions and foreseeable in their harmonic scales, something that SURELY, even if Dodi had been a God, didn’t allow the long-haired one to "express himself" at the highest levels. The only rare moments are the "solos" (?) at the end of songs, where the guitars mimic the chorus, and there you certainly can’t DELIVER much. That being said, I reiterate: I literally think the Pooh are crap (basically since I was in short pants back in 1974...). Just to clarify... :-))

"It's easy to criticize and not propose anything to avoid 'suffering' the judgments of others"... THIS IS THE BEST OF THE WEEK, especially for me... FOR ME who constantly endures the judgment of others... Ahah ah, too funny ;-DD

Well... of course I know them, just like I know the "three little pigs"... just kidding, I've found the Pooh to be crap since they were still in diapers (the old midwife can attest to that) but that doesn't mean I haven't listened to some veeeeEEeery old albums, absentmindedly, with my nose pinched, paying little attention. Parsifal, however, is a bit of a gem from that era...
