It's not a movie: there's no story, no plot, and not even any "actors." It's a docu-film about a real life. Maybe you're thinking of another film... maybe "Grizzly: The Murderous Bear" (1976). That one is a movie.

Yes, I remember it. But that’s Herzog’s thought (translated too) and it’s one line out of almost 120 minutes of film where at least 80 are filled with Treadwell's ideas. The people I've mentioned (and that you also cite) have been considered "crazy, strange, marginalized and with not a few mental issues" for years. In the 50s and 60s, they all ended up locked away; from '68 onwards, there was idolization and a revaluation of these individuals, "new messiahs" of a world that, in the end, has proven to be crazier than they are.
