David Sylvian Alchemy: An Index Of Possibilities

Yes... nice... whatever you want... and who could say no.... but if you listen closely.... I mean really closely... if you're honest with yourself.... it's been almost 20 years that he's been recycling the same record with minor variations on the theme... 20 years of whispers and plin plon on ambient beats. It’s like: How to capitalize to the maximum (and live large) with a single idea reiterated to exhaustion.
The Doors Absolutely Live

I discovered the Doors a bit late, but since then they have become a Cult Band for me.

Just get an equally good or almost good guitarist. Easy, right? :-))

I was there and I must say it was a beautiful dive into my youth. Among other things, there was an acoustic that was nothing short of PERFECT, which I've rarely encountered at other concerts I've attended: crystal clear sounds, perfectly calibrated vocal systems, and VARIED tones... it almost felt like a playback. A really great concert.

Well... 20 years ago I liked it a lot, now frankly it's a bit outdated... an old flame gifted me "Made in China": in my opinion, it's HORRIBLE (except for 2 tracks). Pat

I would never dare to tell someone (WHO IS ALWAYS DIFFERENT FROM YOU) "throw away your records and change your tastes"... what right would you have to do that? You don’t even know who they are, what they do, what family they come from (You only talked about age...). I can only say "I do it this way, you can do whatever you like, I recommend listening to X or Y," but then everyone must follow THEIR OWN STORY, their own journey...
Sting Songs From The Labyrinth

For me, this album isn't that great... pleasant but at times boring like few others. I think the experiment is really interesting but the result is below expectations. It would be a 3.5 but I give it a 4 for Sting's courage to explore other "not at all easy" territories. Nice review!

In reality, there is NO "best" music per se: Everything is filtered through: 1) Age - which matters a lot; a 15-year-old CANNOT objectively appreciate the things that a 40-year-old likes - 2) Musical training - it depends on how much music one has listened to and roughly how much of that is of QUALITY to refine the ear - 3) Personal sensitivity and character - a naturally rebellious slacker will hardly appreciate the minimalism of Brian Eno, and vice versa, a reflective and refined intellectual will certainly not be attracted to the chaos of Green Day or the noise of NIN - 4) the environment in which one lives, etc. etc.... In short, let everyone listen to their own music and respect what others enjoy. I would say---- Amen.

Ah ha ha...really charming with a vibe that hooks you right away. For me, this review deserved more in terms of visibility...oh well, what can I say! 4 stars but it could be even more... :-)))
