I imagine a bit of "the usual things by Pat Metheny" just to maintain consistency, as he has been throwing them at us (more or less, with minor variations) for the last 15 years or so... A great glossy class, polished and resold every time as something new. Hard to denigrate it, but equally hard to praise it.

Regarding the initial bullshit of "why someone who reviews bad things must be a person with frustrations," I obviously don't agree with this for many reasons that I can explain to you privately.
On this album, however, I also had significant doubts that you confirmed for me (and I'm voting based on trust). Criticism is always much harder than flattery. Believe me. And those who say otherwise are the ones who have NEVER done it.
