I, unlike you kataklisma, read EVERYTHING: from poetry to essays, from novels to sociology treatises, to comics. And I can distinguish and appreciate the different languages specific to each medium. As I used to think, it’s NOT that Hal centered the review on himself (as you claim), but he would have given "body" and "substance" to phrases like his above: "...words are not music and can only fool us into imitating their essence. So the thousand words I can combine to describe this album will always be a deception." It wasn't easy, I know, the few words to be used had to be chosen carefully, but if we really want to be analytical and coherent, with the following lines Hal truly perpetuated the deception he was talking about. But perhaps that was drifting into literature and LESS into the review per se... oh well! :-)

Well, sorry... this is NOT misogyny, in my opinion this is about shouldering the pain of a certain segment of people (yes, women) who HAVE been unfortunate or have been vilified or treated like whores for centuries and centuries. What does misogyny have to do with it, excuse me? In my opinion, Sergio Leone or Tinto Brass are more misogynistic in this respect, no matter what people say... what the hell kind of woman do those guys have in mind: one that's almost non-existent or saintly, the other a big laughter-inducing whore...

Von Trier made 3 or 4 films like that and then took it all back and changed his style... it happens, right? Have you seen the film "Festen" Giovannonemio? it was always from the Dogma95 group and for me, it's wonderful!!! I'll pamper you even if you insult me... you know, you old pervert :-))))

I repeat: if someone like HAL (not just anyone) had had the courage to stop at the first 7 lines... he would have "said" much more than with the 25 subsequent lines; in short... it would have been worth rushing out to buy the album without A or BA, blindly!! Anyway, it's just my opinion....

What a shame: if you had limited yourself to the first 7 lines, it would have been a review that can only be described as G E N I U S. With the subsequent lines, you contradicted yourself and, overwhelmed by a sense of guilt, you tried to describe the indescribable, indeed. I'll make a note of the album anyway... goodbye!

Giovannino, I was the one who mentioned the little sketches right before you... about the camera swaying, if we want to nitpick, it's the "fixed camera" that would be a conventional artifice now universally adopted by cinema... in REAL life, meaning what our eyes see, there is VIRTUALLY NOTHING fixed and still if you pay attention... this was the concept behind Dogma95: THE CAMERA MUST BEHAVE EXACTLY LIKE THE HUMAN EYE. A concept that you may want to debate but is coherent and has its reasons, right? bye

It's clear that it is ZiON; if you go to see it with the mindset of watching an "action movie" or one of those light comedies that "look good but don't require much effort," it's better to avoid it. The film is raw and devoid of any fluff (aside from the "poetic" interludes with the referenced songs playing in the background... the only directorial and editing devices in 3 hours of film!)

A random fuck you like that means nothing to the entire History of Humanity... (it's not directed at anyone in particular...)
