I really liked this album... the following one, NO (that album with him and the model on a leash)... I haven't listened to the latest one... but this character seems "a little bit artificial NOW" to me... Rece is dazed and poetic: Beautiful!!

There are indeed some... not too many, I would say. I'm very reluctant to give 5 stars except to "sublime masterpieces"... These things Ry Cooder has done "better" and "more deeply felt" in other albums...

Well... I have it and I've listened to it 3 or 4 times without it making me shout "masterpiece." The usual Caribbean atmospheres mixed with great blues, but... everything feels familiar with rather sweet and mild songs, lacking any point of excellence. The previous albums are better. A three-star (maybe a four) for the arrangement and the overall mood that is really "caliente" without any big surprises...
