@Tepes: the bionic one is right, don’t do that, your name on this site is now synonymous with a guarantee in brutal/death/grind. This isn’t a review, but a reunion for old friends and to have fun giving a 1. @matteo: here you go! I almost forgot earlier.

Rich in details and well described as always. What year is the album from?

So you're back, minkia!!! I see that you haven't lost your ability to be concise :))) but maybe, who knows, you've said everything that needed to be said, the floor to the experts... (ugly cover)

@Francescobus: I also listen to (mostly) metal, but I sometimes listen to other genres (like in this case) if I like it and it evokes emotions; that's how music is. So, I don't believe you can be completely objective, especially if you liked it back then. I understand your point of view about the current Francesco and the one from the past, and how we change as we grow; I've been through that too. The times of the Police are far removed from Sting as a solo artist, and as you say, they'll always miss them. However, usually for an artist, the goal of pursuing a solo career is always to do something different from what was done "together" before.

Always excellent Maria, I love the way you write. "Englishman in New York" is one of Sting's best pieces ever, gives me chills. I don't really like Hendrix's cover, though, too dull for my tastes.

Look, I can also stay silent about the decuple, since the general trend is what it is, and on this site (thank God) there is full freedom of opinion and speech. However, putting the sample in seems like a joke to me, unless the target audience you've set has an age of 6 months, which I think nowadays is the maximum limit for not knowing the Pink Floyd and this album.

Your intention was good, indeed excellent; you definitely piqued my curiosity quite a bit. But I suspect you didn't proofread it too carefully. The good premises were all there, but you got tangled up in the concepts and spelling, in my opinion, and you didn't express yourself 100%.

Long but beautiful review, I also agree with the rating of the album, which to be honest is more or less the average of all the VH records except for a few episodes like I, II, and 1984. Great Eddie, forever.

Mixed review, great album. I don't agree with the thrash metal genre label; there's a lot of tribal experimentation here, and you can also feel the vibes of nu-metal.
