I didn’t really like the review; I think the album is a gem, for me (and I emphasize for me) the best of Megadeth. Without a doubt, one of the most significant albums that, at the turn of the 80s and 90s, allowed thrash to deliver some amazing tail whips, together with Sepultura and Pantera. Slayer and Metallica had already ***scagazzato***.

A decent album, not a 5-star one though, at least for me. The best ones remain VH I, VH II, and 1984; the others, despite the undeniable skills of the band and Eddie in particular, I've never found that great, especially regarding the lack of originality. Van Halen, however, invented tapping; nobody before him, before Eruption, that is, before 1978, had ever used the right hand that way. But he deserves another credit as well, the introduction of different scales and a touch of classicism in guitar solos (see Eruption again), unlike the usual pentatonics that had been heard up to that point (which, in any case, remain a cornerstone in the soloing ability of any respectable guitarist). best regards

I don't agree on one thing, which is that Frusciante is the most important element. I believe that the other three are also fundamental in the collage; take the bassist for example, he’s great, and for the genre they play, the weight of his instrument is important.
