Come on guys, Dexter is right about the fact that you are not the least bit authentic and you enjoy trashing the forums; this is a very sad and pathetic thing, as it undermines the value of music as a transmitter of subjective tastes. You are truly awful.

I think that those who rate this album and this review with a 1 are in an adolescent phase or, anyway, a growth phase that leads them to misjudge music that doesn’t belong to their genre/style. I'm certainly not ashamed to say that I like this too, because Masini is a singer-songwriter, and in his genre, "Cantautorato" is by no means a lesser presence. There's no need to explain to you what philosophy his character expresses, especially since the reviewer has already done so well; anyway, his lyrics are very straightforward and direct in addressing themes, portraying feelings of rebellion (vaffanculo) and frustration (t'innamorerai), sometimes even better than Antonello Venditti or Lucio Dalla. One needs to be a bit open-minded...

I will tell you my opinion, which is that I fully support freedom of expression, first of all because it is a means of assessing the development of the individual, and secondly because through it - via art - anything can be represented, whether it is supported or rejected by others' consciences; however, I tend to think that many groups exploit their themes just to make money from them; and I don’t even know how wrong it is to do so; after all, it’s always honest work. I believe that a young person, like an adult, can easily be fascinated by what is not in line with "good morals" and social conformity; we should just avoid certain groups being discovered by vulnerable subjects who turn songs into a philosophy of life, exploiting what is said in the lyrics. Anyway, the album intrigued me (so you see, for example, I am fascinated by thrash bands that talk about weapons and war, even though I don’t know much about the subject) I will look for it.

And it's not over yet. If you want to know Peter Steele when he was still Petrus Steele, less depressed, suicidal, and negative, and much more "Conan the Barbarian" post-nuclear, look for the only two albums that made Carnivore the most thrash band in metal. Carnivore from 1986 and Retaliation from 1987.
Thrash to the nth degree, destructive distortions, angry black voices, and sexist, military, anarchic, and violent lyrics.

Beautiful, especially because it’s simpler and more relaxing, and not just "technical" and complicated. Very nice, fresh is really the right term.

"Success seemed never to fade away".... maybe it's not exactly like that, but the fact remains that their first album is from 1984 (Forever Young) and the last one is from 1996 (United); to still be making albums after 12 years, you need at least a bit of success, don’t you think?
I was really mistaken about the twenty-one tracks. They are small masterpieces in their own right, it’s clear, not in the entire musical landscape, but within themselves—songs that are not simple and trivial, in short, but excellent lyrics and well-crafted beats, masterpieces of synth-pop, not just general music. Interpretation is at the core of human intelligence.

Are we kidding? For me, the album is awesome, do you want me to say something bad about it?

Yes, I definitely got caught up in the desire to fuel the genre, it's true, eh eh.
Anyway, I only know the single "Afternoons in Utopia," the second album (first after the Forever Young) and I like it a lot. However, I prefer this compilation.

In this album, there's also Severed Head Stoning. It’s my favorite, with a faster and more aggressive vocal style than usual.
