Wow, what a beautiful page this is, gabbox... I don't know her, but the samples and Haitian origins inspire me a lot. I will definitely be on the lookout for something. Bye, JoP
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Concerti per corno
Voto:
The horn is a splendid instrument, and Mozart was one of the musicians who rightly paved the way for the solo role of this brass (which later became the protagonist in countless epic symphonic pages during the Romantic era). Personally, among the works I love most for this instrument is Richard Strauss's concerto, which also deserves a review someday, along with the (equally splendid) one for oboe. On Hal's page, what can I say... 5 plus, as usual. Best regards, JoP
Barbara Casini Sozinha

"Sozinha"? Literally means "alone," and indeed as you wrote, this album "sees Casini alone with her guitar." In reality, "sozinha" encompasses many concepts that are not just about solitude, but also about introspection, calmness, and the Brazilian "saudade" :) Hi, JoP

Extremely intriguing this review, and the album title "Sozinha" is wonderfully beautiful in its simplicity. For a lover of Brazil like me, a gap to be filled as soon as possible. Congratulations for this beautiful page, JoP.

Paula Morelenbaum is an extraordinary singer, a typically Brazilian voice... brunette, airy, nostalgically shadowy and delicate, caressing. And this page truly does her justice (the reference to Schumann is beautiful too!)

Uhmmm, listen, Rocchetto... I know I've been a bit absent lately, but don’t think for a second that I've missed a single page of those you've left around here. And five stars go to all your latest reviews, without exception. Reviews that are always pages of intense and delicate art, pure sensations. In the meantime, though, the shopping list has grown immeasurably... But this, as we know, is another story :)) These "sick oaks" inspire me a lot... Talk soon, best regards, JoP PS Your super-constant dedication to the always precious samples is commendable!!
