I saw it in May 2005. It had just come out in theaters. Two memories: a sunny spring Sunday outside, dark colors and tense atmospheres inside. Bruno Ganz is simply immense, nothing compared to "Wings of Desire."

The film is too slow, made with an aristocratic mold and excessively baroque (even though the subject matter already sufficiently addresses this same social concept). Not a single poor person is seen throughout the entire film: everyone is dressed to the nines, smoking pipes, and women in silk skirts! Among the actors, Pfiffer and Daniel Day-Lewis are the only ones worth mentioning. Winona Ryder is, to say the least, terrible. The slow decline of Scorsese...
