@Vortex: "Just one question: WHAT DO JOY DIVISION HAVE TO DO WITH DARK? I can already hear the bricks flying towards my head, but I reiterate the concept: DARK WHO? IAN CURTIS? As for gothic rock, I don't even think such a (sub)genre exists." I'm not throwing any bricks at you, Vortex; in fact, I think I might even agree with you, but please don't leave the discussion half-finished like in the review of "In A Flat Field." Share your full thoughts; it could lead to a very interesting debate.

An unbalanced review that focuses more on the usual and clichéd biographical notes than on the evaluation of the album. These are the reviews that make one think that the interest of many is more due to the mythologization of one of the most famous suicides in rock history rather than the music itself. And that's a shame.

Seen in concert on Easter Sunday at Vinile in Rosà: GREAT! They entertained and moved me; I absolutely have to catch up on their first three albums, freshly reissued.

I'm afraid to listen to this album..... but not because it's dark music....

Great record, I’d say 4 for the listening pleasure but 3 if you consider all the copied elements of the English wave present on the verge of plagiarism (especially “Eroe nel Vento” has the guitar from “I Will Follow” by U2 and “Istambul” has the synth from “Save A Prayer” by Duran). In any case, I don’t find it aged poorly at all.

Pop masterpiece. One of the peaks of the DM discography.

@The_Dull_Flame: I only have this from IMJ, but do you happen to have that famous 10 CD Box from 2001?

Thank you for your generosity. If you want to get an idea, the staff has arranged the samples that were previously unlistenable due to technical reasons. Enjoy listening!

I haven't listened to the album, but from the references you mentioned, I don't think it would interest me. Just a piece of advice: The_dull_flame, you should listen to the Hoahio!
