However, on second thought, the greatest song of the 90s could very well be "Sing Allelujah" by Dr. Alban or even "No Limits" by 2 Unlimited...

Well, I’ve listened to "Blood Sugar.." so I’m on the right track. Two albums aren’t enough, you’re right; I’ll only pass judgment on the Peppers after I’ve devoured their entire discography. Basically, I've realized that I can’t comment on de-baser anymore because the bands I’ve listened to at least two albums from aren't very many. I also can't say that Gigi D'Alessio sucks because I’ve never listened to one of his albums.

"Worderwaal" the biggest song of the '90s? I thought it was "Hanno Ucciso L'Uomo Ragno." (Damn word!)

I still claim my right to judge a group after listening to 2 (two) albums.

So, if I understood correctly, for you "Blood Sugar.." is "necessary to capture the first essence of the Peppers" only if listened to alongside "Freaky Styley" and "Mother's Milk," while it isn't if listened to with "Californication." Curious theory.
