Simple Minds Good News From The Next World
Voto:
The only album by the Minds that I've listened to in full, and also the last one. A flat and mundane adult rock.
The Cars Panorama

The little I’ve heard from them hasn’t made me want to delve deeper; in any case, I congratulate mien_mo_man for filling the gap of the lack of reviews on these records. Reviews, by the way, written very well.
Mel Gibson The Passion
Voto:
Sorry Lostinspace, you were right: it's true that Gibson is American, even though his mother is Australian and he lived in Oceania for a long time.

"And then the life of Jesus told by an American makes me anxious" Lostinspace. To be precise, Gibson is Australian, from Melbourne.

To all those who criticize the film by saying "it's too violent, it's splatter, it's horror, etc., etc.," what were you expecting from a film titled "The PASSION of the Christ"? Jesus playing cards or collecting stamps? Gibson certainly lays it on thick; it's true he exaggerates the duration of certain scenes, but it seems to me he is the only director who has portrayed the suffering of the flesh endured by Jesus so effectively. In all the other old films, the violence suffered was merely hinted at or only implied. Gibson is one of the few who has gone beyond that veneer of good-heartedness from "catechism for kids" that is present in most films based on the Bible.
Leonardo Pieraccioni I Laureati
Voto:
The only thing that makes me somewhat like Pieraccioni is that he helped bring down Cecchi Gori.
Abel Ferrara The Bad Lieutenant (Il Cattivo Tenente)
Voto:
No Blackdog, the Bluvertigo were right, you can find it at Blockbuster!
Fritz Lang Metropolis
Voto:
Visually striking even though the love story is somewhat clichéd.
Nine Inch Nails Year Zero

"It is actually the clearance towards wider audiences of sounds and lyrics that were once only for a few chosen alternative ones, and thus niche." I think it has always been that way from the beginning. Reznor is the Cobain of industrial.

"Why is 'son of God' in quotes? According to Christian doctrine, particularly Catholicism, all human beings are sons of God." NOFAKE. I actually think that 'son of God' is a title and not a fact. Jesus is the son of God just like anyone else; in fact, I don’t support those who doubt His existence just because they don’t believe He was truly the son of God. It would be like questioning the existence of Francis of Assisi, Buddha, Confucius, or Muhammad. Essentially, Jesus was a MAN, and perhaps over the centuries people have embellished His story to make Him appear otherworldly to make Him seem more special in the eyes of the people (but this happens in all posthumous biographies). Probably, the resurrection is a "hoax": the body was simply stolen.
