World SBK Fan: since you add one more point to the movie for the bull's championship, add another one for the Roland Garros won by Panatta. What a great year 1976....

Indeed, the film often seems to fall into two-bit red propaganda, but it must be said that Bertolucci views communism through the naive eyes of the peasants of that era, and thus its representation can only be innocent. These are flaws one can overlook, especially since the ending with "the master who is condemned but does not die" emphasizes the utopia of that ideology. Above all, they are complemented by the splendid scenes of rural life that will greatly inspire Olmi's "L'Albero Degli Zoccoli." Honestly, despite its length, I found it enjoyable (maybe because I watched it over two evenings), and I find it much better than "L'ultimo imperatore," which follows the same historical-biographical line with a finale of triumphant red flags. The only thing that really sucks about this film is the snow effect made with fire extinguisher foam.

"What the hell is this stuff?!?!?" Well, in this case, you could have been a bit less subtle.

But what does the "M" that stands out on the cover represent?

I Leftfield ambient: did I say something stupid? I always remember them being featured on MTV Chillout, the 90s show that showcased only ambient and non-dance electronic music. I must admit that I only listened to their records in the store, so not in a deep way, but they seemed anything but techno-dance to me. Besides, if you look at Wikipedia, they're labeled as chillout/downtempo there too. The ignorance, if anything, lies with those who don’t even know that the mind of The Prodigy is called Liam Howlett and not Keith Flint.
I won't argue about your tastes; I’ve never liked the Chemical Brothers, while I've never delved into Underworld due to their single "Born Slippy," which I find worse than the worst single by The Prodigy, but that's my own business.
Rather, I want to emphasize that terms like "posing as punks" etc., have very little relevance in this album because if we take away the two tracks "Voodoo People" and "Their Law," the rest has nothing to do with rock, not even remotely. I recommend not taking too seriously what Christian Zingales writes, or you might end up listening to Datura. Also, I don't understand where you're going with "don't make up that Underworld have nothing in common with The Prodigy"; even the Sex Pistols have something in common with The Clash, but what the hell are you trying to say?

Well, 1) Techno-dance is by definition repetitive, so it's pointless to criticize the Prodigy for that; in fact, they always included some noise diversion or a change of rhythm in their tracks. 2) Here, the Prodigy didn't act all punky at all; if anything, this happened with the subsequent album. 3) (quote) "a vocal style that could only be tolerated in a dance setting (in 'No Good (Start the Dance),' it's simply annoying)": exactly, "No Good (Start the Dance)" is a dance track. 4) Keith Flint here was doing what he did best, which was being the dancer. 5) Don’t get me started on Leftfield, who were ambient (and also boring).
