Well done, little black dog, I see you can write. I'll give you a nice grade, but with "listening reserve" (I haven't heard the CD yet, and you might have written a bunch of nonsense even if it's well-written). I know Liars from "They Were Wrong So We Drowned," which by itself is enough to silence anyone who finds these 2000s empty/useless/ugly musically. Flinstone is right about "rumours," but wasn't the surname of the Ancestors FlinTstone?

Thanks! Don’t worry, I never buy records based on what Scaruffo writes!

I am much closer to the judgment of Vortex and N.I.B.II.O. than to the enthusiasm expressed in the review.

So it will be (but let's say it's) my personal impression. The albums you mentioned I won't have a hard time re-listening to in order to form a judgment since my wife has them all. My favorite was "From the Choirgirl Hotel."

No gnoato, wrong target, I personally think you write well and I enjoyed reading the review, but come on, it’s not the best in terms of quality. With these parameters, a possible One Shot 2007 would have Avril Lavigne, Pussycat Dolls, and indeed Mika. It’s not about pop or not pop, 80s or not 80s, but about quality. I prefer to forget "Reality" and "Hula Hoop."

Gulp! I just found out that he divorced Budgie, I would have never thought so.

@captainhowdy - adp: I consider the red-haired one a fantastic singer, capable of squeezing blood from a turnip, but her repertoire is quite monotonous, and I think she knows it too since at her concerts she eventually dives into covers. I attended one of her shows in Modena, and I must say that the audience, after an hour and a half of Amos's songs, visibly got more excited about the covers. That said, I admit she has written some good songs in her career, but perhaps not enough to justify the release of so many albums.

Great voice and a fantastic performer, it's a shame she insists on being a songwriter too.

It seems to me that they have mixed crap and chocolate with a numerical supremacy of the former.

@ubik: regarding animal masturbation, I don't know what to tell you, let's hope Pierino Angela soon does an enlightening episode of Superquark on the subject. By the central part, I meant the albums from the end of the 80s. But at this point, since you seem quite knowledgeable about EN, what would you recommend as my next purchase given I already have the compilation "Kalte Sterne," "Halber Mensch," "Talbula Rasa," and the last two?
