And anyway, seriously, you could have kept some of those bullshit remarks about Michael and his relationship with Kurt to yourself. Kurt admired R.E.M. and he and Michael were really friends. They were supposed to work together. Everything was already set for a collaboration. Everything, even the plane ticket for Kurt. Then a phone call: "I can't come." But instead? He also says, "I have tar under my feet," meaning he's stuck, he can't move, he's facing a problem bigger than him... But whatever, why am I even telling you this... bye.

So, in my opinion, you didn't understand a damn thing, I'm sorry! But how can you say a bunch of nonsense all at once??? First of all, you haven't spent a word saying that the album is dedicated to River Phoenix and that with "Let me In," the entire record is influenced by Automatic. The obsessions just won't go away. After Automatic, Stipe thought he had put pain and obsessions behind him, and instead here come these misfortunes. Stipe had writer's block for 5 months. That’s when Monster was born. Sex, but not only. Kenneth heavy?? Who are we talking about?? Strange Currencies is perhaps the most beautiful song on the album, and like many others, you clearly show that you haven't understood it by saying it's just a simple love song!!! It’s quite the opposite; in the vein of Everybody Hurts, this is another obsession, talking about an unhealthy relationship with the other person. My God, what a load of nonsense. The fact that they made such a rock album is also because they had promised it for a long time. In "Let me In," Mills plays Cobain's guitar... did you know that? The "Monster Tour" they undertook the following year after the album's release—are you familiar with it? Was it perhaps the most emblematic? Ah, and anyway, it’s still very listenable even now after 12 years, just as it will be in another 12 years and so on.... And then you're talking about R.E.M., so be careful... I would dedicate a bit more seriousness and time to it. Bye.

For lemuro and Mariaelena. I also came back from vacation yesterday. I returned more saddened than ever because it was the last one... after Capo Nord, it was Ireland next with a concert that I will review if I have time... the one by Radiohead in Dublin!!!!! We traveled around a bit anyway, renting a car... well guys, I bought this record up in Ireland (I already knew it, of course...) and I played it while driving through the Irish countryside towards evening... what emotions...( let's not even talk about the ones listening to Sigur Ròs while driving in Norway along the fjords... no comment...). But you know something??... they played both last night and tomorrow right in Dublin!!! I returned yesterday... what bad luck... if only I had known earlier!!!! Now I'm putting it on!... but after the new one by Roddy Woomble!... heheh...

Nice review and also sincere from someone who really seems to like them... Poor Cranberries have really lost their way... I saw them live in 2002... great... but there was already something in the air... oh well. Anyway, the album is nice, yes.

also for me Milan on December 4th! I'm sorry, it's brutal... but the important thing is not to miss them live because they're too awesome.
We'll exchange opinions and maybe we'll even do the concert review together...
