Isolationism… this is the term that best suits the works (because they truly are works of art) of the Canadian combo.

This second official release, excluding the self-produced cassette in 33 copies "All Lights Fucked On The Hairy Amp Drooling" from 1994; stands between the magnificent debut "F#A# infinito" and "Levez Votre Skinny Fist Comme Anthennas To Heaven" and is the real junction point between the black and white prog noisiness of the debut and the classicist and visionary constructions of the second.

These two tracks, which have a total of almost 30 minutes (quite the EP.. !) are intended to be the summa, if not the ABC, of the thought behind the GYBE! idea… the isolationism I was talking about at the beginning.
The first track, "Moya" (the proper name of the project's founder, along with Efrim), is a "classic" piece à la Godspeed, where the imperceptible tremors initially expand dizzyingly deep into the bowels of the earth, only to return quietly and sinisterly; a sort of self-analytical catharsis, where each of our thoughts manifest and materialize inside our eyes, with the most sublime sweetness or the most unsettling terror…

"BBF3" ("Blaise Bailey Finnegan III") is a modern classical music track, a perfect post-atomic painting on human desolation, inspired during the recording by the desolate lands chosen for the studio installation, "Mile End" a suburban neighborhood of Montreal made of disused warehouses, abandoned cars, and train carriages in complete disuse… this is music that must be listened to and experienced strictly in solitude, which must be allowed to enter every room of our brain, even those locked tight; into which even we ourselves are forbidden to enter… allow the sound to take over all the air present and let it penetrate into our vascular system through the neurons, so that the tremendous beauty unleashed can reach directly to the muscles, nerves, tendons, and bones… shake everything and try to set everything back in place.

This is music from which one must let oneself be ravished.
