No, come on, let's not stop being outraged, otherwise we'll end up like Gaber who lost the taste for getting angry...

@Contemplation: he is under house arrest in a residence in the Marche region, by the Adriatic Sea. He has an agent who wants to make him a commercial star. It seems he has secured a contract for him to be a spokesperson for a jeans brand. I’ll try to find out the name of the jeans as soon as possible, of course, to make sure to avoid buying them.

...just what do you think…
DB I promise, I promise that I won't start any wars!
T I promise that I won't start any wars! That’s for sure.
AC And you think…
DB This is all an individual can do. This is my individual promise.
T This is still my individual commitment, it’s my personal promise.
AC Yes, of course, and do you think I will start a war instead?
DB I met you this afternoon, I doubt it.
T I doubt it, I already said it this afternoon but I doubt it.
AC Oh thanks, you’re a friend.
DB World peace.
AC Are you leaving?
DB World peace. Right here, right now, on this programme. No more wars, world peace. See what we can do. Two individuals.
T Let’s make peace, here, on this programme, in this place we decide that there will be world peace! No more wars! Fantastic! Let’s see what we can do. Two people are committed.
AC Perfect, you in England and me in Italy. Okay? You know what? To do this thing now, to fulfill this commitment we made, I need to learn English right away. The only thing I know is "you understand?".
DB You understand?
T You understand, right.
AC Do you think we will meet in the future?
DB Having met this occasion we never need to meet in the future
T Since we met here, it’s unnecessary for us to meet in the future.
AC That’s a nice answer. Well, I must say it was a pleasure talking to you because I have always admired you…
DB Good to talk to you and good to sing for you.
T It’s been nice to talk to you and also to sing for you.
AC Yes! Thank you, but you said it a bit too quickly. Almost as if you wanted to leave right away. Almost as if you wanted to cut off the conversation.
DB You wanna learn me sing one song? Oh do you mean the conversation?
T You mean I wanted to cut off the conversation so quickly? Is that what you meant?
AC Yes, no
DB Hey don't stop me talking I'll talk all night long! You're kidding me? You don't even know you don't even wanna begin talking to me! I can talk under that fucking carpet, man!
T I’ve talked all evening, don’t stop me, are you joking? You don’t even know what it means, you can’t even start talking to me! I can talk even under the carpet!
AC Ah yes! Is this a proposal? Ahahahah thank you David. You’re strong. I hope to meet you again soon. Bye.
DB Bye.

I have to report this because it's frankly unforgettable from the site "Velvetgoldmine".
Interview (DB=David Bowie; T=Simultaneous Translator; AC=Adriano Celentano)
DB Hello
AC Hello... Do you think there is a future?
DB Ahah for me? Ya. For you?
T For me? And for you?
AC Yes
DB Ok ahah
AC In the world, we know there are so many people, there are too many people suffering from hunger, dying of hunger.
DB Ya
AC Do you think, in your opinion, this could change? Do you think there will be a way? Have you tried to think about it?
DB Yes absolutely. Only if this adds at a governmental and political level a commitment to actually make some change. If this is half-hearted the change will be half-hearted but it's a major universal commitment that needs to be made. But who to instigate that? It has to come from the people we elected to power to make that commitment.
T Of course, only if there was a governmental political commitment to make this change. This is the only way to bring about change. So there must be a deep universal commitment, but who should initiate this? It has to be the people in power who start this movement.
AC And why do you think people are slow to give this movement? Perhaps because of the greed to be...
DB Don't ask me!
T Don't ask me!
AC No, of course not, I'm asking you these questions because many times I ask myself, I try, I wonder, I say, I try to organize, like, as if it were something in the kitchen, as if you had to prepare food, how could the world's problems be resolved. I try to organize them that way because I’m not a politician, because I also get surprised when I watch television and see certain things, certain things we've seen here too. Uhm, many times I ask myself how, how could it be done, and here, for example, I think, for instance, I'll tell you what I think, I think that if all the rich people in the world came together to think a little about those who are suffering, uh, maybe this could be done, uh, I mean, it’s an organization… it seems…
DB I think it'd be very important for anybody to tie at least a percentage of what they make every year towards organizing a charity world course towards […] a course but it makes even better sense if, of say, a country that has its national product of something like two hundred billion dollars ties a small percentage of that […] But it really needs to be instigated at a governmental level. But […] of course, an individual should do something.
T It would be very important, everyone should attempt to donate a percentage of what they earn each year to, let’s say, charitable organizations for various causes. It would be even better if a country with a high GDP, about two hundred billion dollars, excuse me, donated a percentage of this GDP to those who are poorer. However, action must still be taken at the governmental level, it must be the government that starts these things, but of course individuals can also do a lot, individual people that is.
AC Yes, of course, I agree. And do you think we can do something to stop wars in the world, always, uh, this too…
DB I don't know!
T I don’t know.
AC No, you can’t do it? So how do we do it?
DB I'm not the person to ask!
T I’m not the right person to ask these questions.
AC And now we are under…
DB I'm getting radio Moscow
AC But I, but I don’t want…
T I have radio Moscow in my, in my ear, I have radio Moscow interfering.
AC No, but I don’t want to…
DB I've lost it. They're gone.
T I lost them, they’re gone.
AC Yes, no, but I don’t want to ask you a question to get an explanation, I just want to know what you think. I know that you are someone who thinks…
DB Ahah
AC You have the face of someone who thinks. I'm not asking you to have the right answer or to have the right formula to save the world, I just want to know, just want to know what you think…
DB I promise, I promise that I won't start any wars!
T I promise that I won't start any wars! Th

But does anyone remember the ENORMOUS mess that David Bowie made him look like? Unforgettable...
Neil Young On the Beach

As Scaruffi does not report? "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere (1969), the first album produced by David Briggs, instead announces a more complex personality, and, above all, a leading guitarist. The album indeed contains long homilies with a heavy sound, supported by the rhythm and the instrumental intertwining of a rock band (Crazy Horse) and pierced by the piercing stigmas of his guitar. The most rock-oriented track is the martial boogie, Cinnamon Girl; the most engaged is Losing End; the two most extensive frescoes are Cowgirl In The Sand, ten minutes of scratchy syncopations that sublimates into a sweet folk refrain, and Down By The River, a dreamlike jam marked by ethereal folk-rock. The violent and neurasthenic guitar playing translates into urban alienation its stories still echoing with a bucolic minstrel vibe, revealing behind the stereotypical scenarios of vast open spaces the painful convulsions of his generation, torn apart by drugs, riots, and fear. Young swings his ballads between the two extremes of sparse, solemn, archaic folk and gritty, electric, arranged rock. The tone of his voice, a kind of falsetto tenor, bends now to the most sublime pathos, now to the most masculine vigor." Not that I consider it excessively important to be reported by Scaruffi, but the little article is indeed there.

Oh come on, this Celentano! Every time he releases one of his "unmissable" albums (of course, whether we like it or not, they'll make us endure it at all hours of the day and night), there's a big TV special where each time he opens his mouth it seems like he’s about to say something indispensable, but instead it’s almost all nonsense. Enough with these pretentious life coaches! P.S.: The ā€œoneā€ is not about the album (which I will definitely avoid listening to), but about the deep dislike I have for the character. The review, however, is well written.

Okay, maybe the review is a bit superficial, but some comments above (e.g. "the shame of our gender," yeah, if only all singers were like that...) surpass it in superficiality by a long shot.
