Erik Satie - Alessandra Celletti (piano) Esoterik Satie
Voto:
It may sound incredible, but I too was about to review this very interpretation by Celletti. I was pleased to read your thoughts because I found, in summary, my own opinion. I would also add that the title should be "Erotik Satie." Because the passion that radiates from the piano played by Alessandra is eroticism in the form of music. A Satie so sensual has never appeared before. There's so much to say about this artist and his influence on a revolutionary artistic movement like Dada. But there will be other opportunities.
John Lurie Stranger than Paradise - The Resurrection Of Albert Ayler
Voto:
I remember a beautiful marriage between music and film. Easy because the two personalities are similar. And who can forget Lurie's performance alongside Waits and Benigni? Memorable. P.S.: in my opinion, this is one of Jarmusch's peaks along with Dead Man; then it became a cliché like the last overrated and clever Broken Flowers.
John Zorn The Big Gundown
Voto:
I have the one with the original cover. And even from the cover, one can sense Zorn's approach to Ennio's world. Forget about "famo du risate"... On the cover, Ennio's big face dominates, like a Warhol mural, while Zorn's silhouette is small and tucked away on the right. Just to illustrate the proportions. Although both sound gigantic. Just like this album.

Well, what I heard takes me back to the Ustmamo with more epic flair. With the difference that lies between the Reggio Apennines and the Norwegian fjords (and between Mara and this blonde) :)

Yes Hana (video+track) is of a heartbreaking beauty. Too bad the album is only partially at that level. If you catch something interesting on Leaf, let me know, because here we can't listen to everything.

I don't know Fang, but I think he deserves it... But he's Chinese, these two guys are Japanese and you can really tell. If you can, take a look at them and then let us know.

Anna Domino Anna Domino
Voto:
Mrs. Domino still seems happily married to the aforementioned Michel Delory. In my opinion, she could have cheated on him, musically speaking. Together, they formed a folky, funky, bluesy trip-hop band called Snakefarm. She remains a beauty, while he is the classic big bearded guy with a cowboy hat.

The first Anna Domino has been completely reprinted and is also available on iTunes. The Ludus are unknown to me (but do you have a goldmine of records?). The wet bunny alias Marc Almond, despite the incident, remains an enlightened person. I might just read his book; it seems interesting. Hey Nobody, but is the equation "gay=hysterical" spontaneous or does it have some basis? ;)

Hey Mr. Nob, getting rid of Anna Domino like that sends a pang to my already weary heart. Sure, a bit elusive, but what class and charm (and what a voice). Besides, her lovely face hardly ever appeared in videos or magazines. I’ve brought her back because even today she makes a striking impression among voices like Hukkelberg's, those of Royksopp, etc. Dig her up too and let me know what you think. And what do you say about Marc Moulin? Bye.
