Great comment Deadchon, almost a review of the album. I would be curious to know your impressions on the other two by BoC that are described on DeB. The more I listen to them, the more I think that the first one is becoming less convincing. In any case, this duo will play an increasingly important role in music history.

What wouldn't one do to seem original? Just a doubt, Punisher. If these are the reincarnation of the heroes of Akron, what happened to the fifth member?

x Aeneas: Corpse Bride is worth a watch, but the story it’s based on is a bit weak. Let’s say that good ol' Tim Burton, juggling several productions at the same time, struggles a bit to maintain his genius. It’s worth mentioning that Nightmares is a masterpiece also because it took around 100 people a whole year to make. A production that no one can afford now, least of all Disney.

This film is filled with memorable characters. In addition to Sally, there's the two-faced Mayor, the hobo-jazz band, the terrifying Bau-Bau ... All quintessential Tim Burton, even if the director is Henry Selick (the one behind James and the Giant Peach), and perhaps that explains the difference between this masterpiece and Corpse Bride.

In his house in Niafunké, he welcomed anyone who knocked at his door. "One should not be selfish with their knowledge," he would say. "Even if someone comes from a rich country, here they discover a different concept of wealth. However, I don't like to reveal secrets too much: it's not advisable to allow someone to turn your own weapons against you."

Odra, don’t tell me that this masterpiece has escaped your vision. This is the dream come true of a great director (indeed, here he reaches the peak of his artistic expression, later reinterpreted in other forms). Watch it and rewatch it, and if you get the chance, compare the two soundtracks, then we’ll talk about Zero. I believe there will be surprises.

Despite the beautiful presentation, I still prefer the original source, untainted by the blues hunter :)

Excellent mention, albeit brief, for the best stop-motion animated film ever made. I've seen it 30 times, and every time it moves me and my two puppets. The songs stick with you, and the music is a fundamental part of the story. One of the rare cases where the Italian version is on the same level, if not superior, to the original. Thanks also to Renato Zero's theatrical performance. Unbelievable stuff.
AA.VV. Trojan Dub Box Set

Everything or almost everything that comes out of the Trojan treasure chest is a delight to my ears. This even more so, I imagine, as I scroll through the names. The results are guaranteed even without additions. Great suggestion, but I would broaden the scope of influence. Because the skinhead phenomenon is just a small part; if anything, Dub is more relevant in the developments of Ska and post-punk (see Clash and PIL).
