It would be enough to have Loner with its sublime pace, leaving us suspended in mid-air and happy to be there.

I take this opportunity to greet Odra and confirm that the live set of this album was memorable and that he is truly a valuable person.
Kate Bush 50 Words for Snow
Voto:
Yes, snow again. Paraphrasing one of Andrea Zanzotto's most intense poems: Yes, more Kate Bush. And these tracks, like those poems, promise enchantments to those who dive deep. The initial triptych is perhaps the most successful gift of her career. Album of the year and not just that...
Burial / Four Tet / Thom Yorke Ego / Mirror
Voto:
Ego is a blast, featuring a crumbled pop-disco groove that's utterly irresistible. Mirror is a step down, hiding a bit of mannerism but still a lovely vibe.

I have the DVD of Coieda by Takagi Masakatsu, and I know him more for his visual skills than his musical ones. With Yokota, I find this constant compositional tension that blends East and West fascinating. In this album, it is expressed in an even bolder way. It’s a sweet and sometimes restless lullaby toward nowhere.

But you know, Odra, that having only reached track 4, this latest Susumu (click on the nickname) has managed to enlighten me this late afternoon...

Hi Odra, everything is fine here, I see you’ve reactivated too! Just listen while I check if my perceptions are aging ;)

It's a pleasure to "see you again," Odra. Soft sounds perfect for a mid-January Monday. Speaking of historic & intelligent electronic composers, has anyone listened to Tipper's latest (see review) and can tell me if it's not a step forward compared to the current trend that's been lacking in quality productions?

Voto:
@UNTITLED: when the first productions from Fuel records were released in 1997, jungle was already an established genre, but there is no doubt that Tipper's compositional practices (the use of new software, unusual cuts of bars, certain bass frequencies) made a solid contribution to the evolution of the drum'n'bass genre, as well as to the redefinition of breakbeat. This is why I speak of stimulating material, not influences.
Redrum Alone My First Kernel Panic
Voto:
Having monitored the journey of Redrum Alone a bit, I find Enea's writing spot on and I agree with his advice when he talks about reducing the didactic verbosity in the construction of the tracks. I would add that they should find greater courage in breaking the boundaries of now barren electronic territories. Furthermore, they should ask themselves what objectives they want to achieve with this project. Should they prefer an enjoyable electronic sound that is hardly dancefloor-oriented, or the opposite? In this regard, the Italian music scene has several epigones (I would suggest keeping an eye on the upcoming release of Ajello, for example). A hug to all.
