And yes, electronics is not the most clicked genre here. But we hold on, who knows, with proposals described so well, the audience might expand. However, I also ignore these, given that I've chewed on plenty of dnb, but I've never chased the gabber derivatives.

I don't know these. But I avoid Death in June, perhaps because I prefer suggestion to direct confrontation. Instead, I prefer an epic sound that isn't directly political, like that offered at its best moments by In The Nursery. A greatly underrated group but more influential than it may seem.

At this point, I expect some translations of the most significant texts from Tibet ;)

I don't know the two mentioned books. "Ocean of Sound" is beautiful, but it can be a bit disorienting due to its mostly cultured references. However, just a few insights from Toop are enough to elevate the book to levels that many journalists could only dream of... I would like to point out that a brave Neapolitan publishing house has released "MILLESUONI - Deleuze and Guattari and Electronic Music," which I feel compelled to recommend regardless.

The previous one was longer because Current needed an introduction on DeB. I’m waiting to listen to Black Ships, then that will be the next step. For "soft black stars," I have only listened to "The signs in the sky," and I can confirm all the "good" described so beautifully by the reviewer. Sweetest music (Satie is the right comparison) and sublime lyrics. It seems to me that much of Tibet's passion in this album has been inspired (and directed) towards the loss of his father.

Beautiful Zion. A commendable shout-out, especially in times when a wave of oblivion seems to erase the traces of these sounds (and put certain labels in crisis). It seems to me that this genre has not managed to regenerate itself. Unlike drum'n'bass and techno, which have sprouted other sounds and trends, the so-called nu-jazz, having reached its peak (jazzanova?), has remained stagnant, but perhaps this is because it started from a heavy imaginary. And so the adjective "new" has weighed like a burden over time.

What a dive into memory. Driven by genuine working-class spirit and musically intriguing. The lyrics already sounded out of date back then. And perhaps that’s why I liked them so much.

Nice note even though the prodigal son has never caught my attention.

I invite you to read it all. Because it is a beautiful and almost exhaustive dynamic of an ensemble that should be discovered and rediscovered. Of the latest, I have only heard two tracks but both are quite interesting. Welcome!

A commendable work this is. How much we would need the confrontation with the other! Instead, all too often we satiate ourselves with pre-packaged soups or exotic-flavored cream puffs. We miss, even before listening, the acknowledgment of the other and thus we don’t even try to include (at least for once) other sounds, truly different ones, in our mental database.
