Yes. Chilling.
Arve Henriksen Towards Language
Voto:
Production of exceptional quality, deserves a listen, I give it five stars to balance it out.
Clark Death Peak
Voto:
Evergreen classic, if only we had more of them. Luscious review
Romare Love Songs: Part Two
Voto:
Aloha! important record? I’m all in. This Romare is having a blast deconstructing and our ears are grateful.
Oneohtrix Point Never R Plus Seven
Voto:
An Eno emerged from cyberspace, but much more engaging and unsettling.
Devo EZ Listening Muzak (Box Set)
Voto:
"It's never easy to impose even a small vanguard and maintain it over time." If by vanguard we mean (in extreme synthesis) a movement of disruption and innovation compared to what exists, I would say it's impossible to maintain it over time. For those who generated it, it's about understanding when that intensity fades and gets absorbed by the mainstream. The Devo would have done well to follow Johnny Rotten's example.
Plaid Not For Threes
Voto:
Yes, a masterpiece that came out great even in the live version. I mean, the Plaid haven't produced mediocre things, but this is the pinnacle.
Aphex Twin Syro
Voto:
It sounds just like a PLAID record from 15 years ago. Might as well listen to them instead of a 2014 copy beyond the name in question.
Boards Of Canada Tomorrow's Harvest
Voto:
At 1:46 of Sick Times (track 8), a voice whispers: Thank you.
There it is, that's what I would like to say before diving back in.
Burial Truant/Rough Sleeper
Voto:
If Truant with its false starts is sublime, with Rough Sleeper one risks being taken aback. This latter suite represents, in my opinion, the pinnacle of its production. Excellent review.
