Hi, the review is good, but it’s a bit tough to read in the middle section where you analyze the differences between the two albums. I'm not familiar with the band, but I’ve heard that Bloodbath draws heavily from them, so I’ll listen to them soon.

I only know the subsequent and wordy (although to my liking) Mars Volta. Great review.

Personally, I will never believe in the existence of this record.

Here’s an unreachable record. They should make students listen to it in high schools. When it came out, it was criticized even from the left; the collectives were furious: “What do you mean, here we are fighting against the exploitation of workers and the school system and the capitalist system, and you come to talk to us about Jesus? What’s up with that?!?” It’s poetry, baby.

Well, the album rocks. I bought the digipack edition and it's not exactly well-crafted (several spelling mistakes in the lyrics and - sigh - on the CD itself). The sound, however, is insane.
Francesco Guccini Live @ La Spezia 17.04.09

Guccini's lyrics are beautiful and inspired, it's almost hard to understand how he always has so much to say. I'm not a great expert, but I still went to the concert (Rome) and it was truly enjoyable and moving.
