Speaking of talking to guys from the groups. Friday night I was at the Treehorn concert (for those who don’t know, currently my absolute favorite Italian band along with King Bong and a few others that I can’t remember right now). At the end of the concert, I start chatting with the bassist singer (very nice guy) and it turns out he knows Blechtravone!!! :D

@Psycho: the bald guy is Poia. Urlo is the singing bassist, the one in the foreground in this picture aqquà: Ingrandisci questa immagine I talked to him before a live show back in the days of Idolum, but I confess I have no recollection of that conversation...

@Caz: how lovely to cross our dicks again on these pages... But tell me, darling, why all this acrimony towards good Urlo?! Is it just your historic dislike for singers, or is there more to it?! Kisses kisses...

I disagree with the main thesis of the review. Between Snailking, Idolum, and Eve, there are indeed differences, at least in terms of sounds. Which is, after all, what interests me the most in this genre. As for the compositional level, it's safe to say that we are not dealing with mad experimenters; I would consider that a revelation of the obvious. We are talking about a genre that in recent years has been sucked on like the breasts of an old woman who has loved too much: you can weigh it down, stretch it out, detune it, bastardize it with ambient and drones, but it’s still the same old soup. At this point, I can't help but ask you, who, in your opinion, has produced something truly innovative in the genre in the last 5 years?

I didn't know it was out, but the review (very nice...) and the cover (very cute!) really give me hope!

Remind me of two "memorable scenes" that are not "gory and splattery" from this movie, excluding the ending.

No come on, I see votes that are way too low! I remember an epic roast of a delirious speech by Scilipoti that made me laugh for at least one and a half traffic jams! As far as I'm concerned, one of the best comedy broadcasts out there. Hearing Scilipoti talk about himself in the third person saying, "On December 14th, if it weren't for Scilipoti, we would have been in complete crisis and in the greatest difficulty. And the President of the Republic said this," gets me every time:

Curious about your review, I took a look on YouTube to give it a listen: honestly, it sounded like the usual stuff, but with more modern sounds. With this "cut," Rage have said more or less everything that needed to be said about twenty years ago with Black in mind (objectively excellent). Their stubbornness in wanting to churn out albums with the same frequency that I get pimples on my butt has done the rest. They remain excellent craftsmen, with a humble approach (which I personally appreciate a lot), but the formula no longer allows for maneuverability: you can play faster, slower, meaner, or more melodic, but in the end, you still find yourself in the same identical musical dynamics that are now overused. The truth is that out of 20 albums, the true "masterpieces" (big word...) will be at most 5 or 6, and those are now from a long time ago. Great review.

An exceptional book, poetic and credulous like few others. Some passages are real punches in the stomach...

I didn't enjoy it very much: good performances (although Perkins seemed a bit too "over the top" to me), great set design, excellent direction and cinematography that effectively convey the sense of claustrophobia of the setting. In short, the form is excellent, but it feels like it lacks substance, the content. Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of mysteries...
